Re: IMX vs. Power Tackle
So I called Judy and we spoke for a while, she was super helpful! Long story short, I need a rod that can CAST a 1/8 oz. weight a 3/0 round bend hook and a trick worm with enough tip to really feel what's going on. Having said that, I also want to be able to punch mats with a 1-1/2oz. jig all with t...

IMX vs. Power Tackle
I want a new rod! I'm interested in the Loomis imx 855c and the power tackle 104-76. I fish a lot of shallow water/heavy cover waters with big fish. I'm a loomis fan but I want to try some thing new. Any body have any experience with any of the power tackle stuff? I'm a fan of parabolic flipping rod...

Re: Feeling froggy
I would like a rod under 7'6". i dont want to spend to much on a dedicated frog rod so lets say the budget is under $250. I have quite a few kistler heliums with a few magnesiums sprinkled in to round out the mix. Had the kistler mag jig and toad and didnt care for it. I need a rod shorter than a fl...

I have owned both brands of rods and my vote goes to the cumara's, but sensitivity is subjective.

Re: Favorite technique with 3" senkos/dingers
my favorite, drop shot all the way(nose hook or wacky, depending on conditions). the style ECU was describing is great. I also LOVE them as Eakin jig's trailers. Use them whole or pinch them in half, thread them on the jig and put some fish in the boat.

Re: Custom rod question
Logic would dictate they would fish the same. Perhaps a better question would be, given identical blanks, would a spinning rod feel more powerful that a casting rod? Thats my question exactly. The reason I ask is I have two off the shelf rods with identical blanks, one casting the other spinning, a...

Custom rod question
If given two identical blanks with the same ratings, power, action and length, with the only difference being one wrapped as spinning and the other casting, would the rods "fish" the same or would one be a little heavier powered than the other? Any help on this would be great.
