Re: ZenMarket

Rods are going to be tricky with a service like ZenMarket, you have no idea if they will do a decent job packing the rod,
and shipping is probably going to be very expensive.

Re: Steez A vs zillion type R

Is there a better spool than the stock spool for type r? The spool from a J Dream is good if you want to cast a little lighter baits. Or a HLC Zillion spool for some more distance. Here are a few zillion spool options. https://japantackle.com/tuning-parts/spools-casting-reels/daiwa.html http://japa...

Re: Steez A vs zillion type R

I would keep the Zillion type R's and save up for a Steez A. The Zillion Type R is a very nice reel, and if you change your mind later, your going to have a hard time finding another one in mint condition.

Re: Amber Orange Pixy?

We’re these all RH models or were they ever offered in LH? Only interested in the Amber Orange color for a possible project, Only left hand. If you want a left hand orange reel for a project, you could always get a lefty Sol. http://www.tackletour.net/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=79437&start=45 Or ...

Re: New Spool

What are you going to use it for? Skipping jigs. The SV103 that it's in now is going on my Evergreen Heracles Airy Flip to start off with. I've eyed many heracles models how would you rate the sensitivity? It has a decent sensitivity, not NRX, but pretty good. https://www.plus-fishing.com/it/blog/6...

The Cosugi is a fun user friendly finesse spool with a little more line capacity than some finesse spools.
Another option would be an Alphas Air or Alphas Air Stream Custom.

Re: Finesse spinning gear set up

I have a Shimano Twinpower 2500S reel on my Megabass F1-70X4S Hyena spinning rod. This is my flick shake rod. With a 2500 size reel with a shallow spool your going to have less trouble with line memory than a 1000 size spinning reel. If the twinpower is out of your price range, you can get the jdm S...

I'm using the sterlite containers from walmart and the smaller flambeau organizers.

It does seem to be a pretty hefty magnet, yes, but the braking force is very weak.

So, the magnet is deeper, but the rotor is shallower than on a standard pixy spool?

Let us know how it behaves in the PXR.

It might be a while, but I will. What is the difference between the brakes in the PXR and the Air Stream Custom?

Re: Alphas air stream custom

Cool. I love those Presso rods. It works great! More than enough line and casts for distance and accuracy with the 3.5g spoon and 1/32 jig+plastic I was using. The spoon liked the brakes at ~55% while the jighead needed 90-100%. Still casted just fine though, once I dialed it in. I've got some 2.8g...
