Re: belippy: Feedback Request Topic
Filipe is a pleasure to deal with, I sent him a reel from Australia and the transaction was smooth. I would not hesitate to deal with him again in the future.

Re: Stella FB Knob Bearing Removal/Replacement
Well, after attempting to remove the shaft off the handle with a vise-grip, I have discovered that the shaft is riveted onto the handle meaning that there is no chance of removing the bearing without permanently damaging the handle. I have put in an order for a handle from a 2500FB model hoping that...

Re: Stella FB Knob Bearing Removal/Replacement
Thats what I thought too, but after closer inspection it seems like the bearing is held in between the two parts of the handle. I've attached a quick sketch, grey = handle, red = bearings, I think this should explain why this reel is really doing my head in. Also, what do you mean by removing the po...

Stella FB Knob Bearing Removal/Replacement
I recently purchased a used JDM model Stella 2000S, its the 2004 or SR model which is the Japanese equivalent to the Stella FB. As soon as I received it, I realized that the bearings under the knob were extremely noisy. It turns out that the inner bearing under the knob was extremely worn or corrode...

Re: JDM Stella vs Stella FE
You will notice that the JDM models offer a larger range of sizes and gear ratios, FE's only come in generally higher gear ratios. Yumeya parts will work on the FE.

Re: Shimano Exsence DC?
Good find mate, any info on the DC system? The dial/settings on the side looks like completely different to the current DC reels.

Re: Pixy/Presso Spool in TD-ITO?
Bad news, like RGMatt previously said, I have been told by PLAT that they have been discontinued. The Megabass spool is an option that I will have to consider. They aren't cheap though, it's more than what I paid for the reel!

Pixy/Presso Spool in TD-ITO?
Hi guys, I am thinking of running my Presso Spool in my TD-ITO. Does anybody make spacers for the TD-Z platform to support the Presso/Pixy spool?
Cheers,

Casting Distance: Braid vs. Mono vs. Fluorocarbon
I've noticed from reading reviews on TT and browsing through the forum, that most people in the states use Mono or Fluorocarbon lines on their Baitcasting and Spinning reels. Over here in Australia, Braided lines (especially Japanese PE) is the way to go for lure fishing. There are some who use stra...

Re: 2012 Antares experience
Nice catch there mate, glad to hear that you are liking the Antares. So no issues with SW use so far? Can you confirm the materials of the spool and the bearings? I'd really like to add one to my collection, but I am concerned that Shimano themselves say that its for FW use only, but then again, I u...

Re: Stella FD or new Sustain FG
The Sustain FG had very light handle rotation, while the Stella FD has a silky smooth feel. Even though the Sustain FG has X-Ship and is lighter in weight, I would still go for the Stella FD since the quality is much better on these.

Re: daiwa T3 on clearance sale
I reckon that they are having trouble selling their stock of T3's and other Daiwa reels on PLAT considering that all of the Daiwa reels that are on clearance now are all relatively new. Even the new Exist has had a price reduction...

Re: 2012 Antares experience
I wud need to battle a barramundi at least 15lb to provide more info on the gears performance. jump on a plane and head down under to where our impoundment (dam) barra get to 60lb, that would test it! trying to stop a 1.3m pig before it gets into the trees will test your gear! maybe TT should do an...

Re: New Stella Or Certate?
Stella hands down. Smoother retrieve, smoother under pressure, smoother and more powerful drag, and the ARC spool results in excellent casting and line management. The Certate is a good reel, but the Stella is in a class of its own. Curious if you've owned both at the same time to make that compari...
