Re: The Most Coveted rods of the X7 line up are?

I have quite a few of them.
I have to pick the Eiger, and Shading X.
The Eiger is super sensitive, and the shading X just has that "it" factor for effortless casting distances, I use mine for swim jigs.

Gary was the one who got me into the line. I've been collecting them ever since. 8-)

Re: All around spinning rod (NRX v. ST. C LE v MB Add)

the nrx 852s is my favorite spinning rod. i think it sits right between st.croix ML and Med powers. if i only had one spinning rod it would be this one, no doubt. a ML st croix might be a little better suited for light DS and small mushroom ned jigheads and a Med st croix for 1/4oz jigs (+ plasitc)...

Re: Daiwa Tournament SS Reel

Did you guys feel that the worm gear bushing replacement with a bearing increased performance much in this reel? Not at all ... it's there to keep the back end of the worm shaft supported and aligned. The only improvement the bearing provides is a more sturdy platform in which to do this vs the fac...

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. G lock hooks for me, traditional rig.
No junky swivels, that affect action.

The fall feedbag was on this weekend here ... yesterday & today were really good days in spite of today's blowing wind and being 15* colder than yesterday. The humble $4.00 Bomber Square A crank was the top producer both days. https://i.postimg.cc/fypcPH39/IMG-0180.jpg https://i.postimg.cc/PfYm...

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!

Doing some cranking on the river the other day, and stuck this monster. I was cranking a RC 2.5DD through a creek mouth that meets the river when it got crushed! Always love these giant surprises! Caught on a 7’H Cumara and Stile SS PG. https://i.postimg.cc/Rqr06CY0/CA90_D6_D6-22_D4-4238-8_EF3-25_C...
