Re: Favorite BFS rods and/or blanks?

All my Majorcraft travel rods like the Go Emotion, and Volkeys are still in my rotation. I have higher end BFS rods, but the Go Emotion still gets used the most. It's traveled with me all over the country for Ned rigs, and has never let me down. I've caught more fish on it than any other baitcasting...

How is balance?
I’m spooling a Daiwa Certate 2500S with 10lb YGK. I will try to take pics and post how it balances...
With the Certate 2500, spot on...
Beautiful! This could get expensive...

Re: Confirmed new Nrx coming out !!

I don't need a rear spoiler on my cars, so others can think I am going fast. Give me a shortbed Chevy C10 with a subtle paint job any day. I'm more interested in them improving the reels seat, durability, balance, and performance. Give me a classy design, with consistent build quality. I absolutely...

Just not build to last.
They were built by Ford?
Chrysler!
I have to agree, a lot of flash, that performs well at the beginning, but it just doesn't last. The last Quantum baitcaster I had, had like 13 bearings, but all 13 were low quality.

Re: Plastics Challenge

I've been boxing things that I know I won't use, but don't want to part with. If I don't reach into these boxes for anything in the next year, i'm going to donate them to some youth organizations. I got way more crap than I will ever use.

Re: Finesse spinning rods.. What's your first choice?

Megabass Hedgehog 2015 F4st-69RSDti is my favorite spinning rod. It's very sensitive with an ultrasoft tip. It works great with bottom and moving light baits. My second favorite is NRX 822 DSR but it's more of a one trick pony than the Hedgehog. X2 it's the one rod that I have never found anything ...

My son will get the same treatment  Apple doesn't fall ar from the tree. But maybe instead of a VW bug, ill make him purchase an old Civic instead. ;) Take a fishing reel apart and make him put it back together before take him fishing again... then you'll have your own fishing reel maintenance...

Now he wants to use my Monoblocks. The dark side is strong, but I am raising a Jedi, need to slow down the young Padawan. The Darkside is strong, but I have conquered it. “Control, control, you must learn control!” – Yoda My kids started with a Shimano Aldebaran BFS and Daiwa T3 Air ... ;) I'm sure...

Re: Opinion: It may not be worth it

A Honda Civic and a Porsche will both get you there. I Porsche is a heck of a lot more fun to drive though. When the Porsche works... I personally have gone through all the regular gear, then high end gear etc... I buy what I WANT to afford, I don't purchase stuff that I can't bring myself to...
