Mend-it thinner
I’m tired of having my mend-it go bad. Anyone know of a reducer or thinner that will thin it when it starts to get goopy? Thanks.

Re: Long spinning rod help for swim baits
I was bombing it pretty good. The rod didn't feel like it was taxed at all. Not a snapping cast just fluid motion with a couple feet of line hanging. I ended up going to a 1/2 oz head and a 4 inch easy shiner for the majority of the day after testing the rod with the bigger weights. I will for sure ...

Re: Long spinning rod help for swim baits
Just wanted to post how my dialuna 9'ml rod preformed for me casting swimbaits for trout. My main reason for getting it was to cast swimbaits for smallmouth however we are about two or three weeks behind weather wise with water temps still in the low 30's. The trout are more than co operative though...

Re: Long spinning rod help for swim baits
Thanks scoobydoo for the info. I ended up ordering a dialuna 9' ml rod after much consideration. It seemed to be the best value out there as far as weight action and reviews. Henry never did get back to me. I know he has a lot on his plate. I had my heart set on a Major Craft Truzer TZ or the Sky Ro...

Wow so much knowledge on this board. Thanks again for your help. I reached out to Henry and he responded. Hopefully he will help me find the right rod since he has used so many of them.

Re: Long spinning rod help for swim baits
Ok now we are making progress. Checked out some sea bass rods on eBay and they look right. A lot are reasonably priced like this one. Rated 10 to 50 grams and a decent sized handle. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Daiwa-SEABASS-HUNTER-X-90M-Medium-9-casting-fishing-spinning-rod-pole/253517788538?epid=19448...

Long spinning rod help for swim baits
I'm looking for a longer spinning rod 8'6 to 9' in a MH to Hvy action to throw 1/2-1 oz swim baits like Kietech 3.8-4.8's. I don't want a steelhead rod, the handles are too long and the actions too soft. I have been looking at the squid rods on eBay and they seem to have shorter handles. Does anyone...

Line conditioner and then give it a good stretch. The stretching works the best for it. Really settles it down.
