Any update on the Conquest? Thats the same reel as the Calcutta TE basically right? Just wondering how it all panned out for you?

Jon,
That is a sweet boat. Does it take a long time to set up? I mean can it fold up? How does the ALuminum hull work, is it in sections?

Re: 2 lb. Maxima Perfexion line
Hi Bobdawe...
You can try this site: http://fishinggiant.com/new-maxima-line.html
They usually have Maxima lines in stock. You may also want to try P-Line FLuroclear 2lb or 4lb. Thats a great line, casts nice, rarely backs up, and doesn't break as much as Maxima.

Re: shimano vs. Daiwa
I've fished with both in tournaments (baitacsters that is) and I find teh SHimano reels a lot more relaible. If your talking spinning I'm a big fan of Sustain and up...welll maybe Stradic now. But under that the Shimano reels just don't have the same level of refinement as even some of the low end D...

Re: Best Chronarch choice article posted
I like the natural colors like green and brown over anything red or bright yellow. The Harrison Hoge frogs are great because the fish hook up easier on them, but they arn't as good in heavy patches. Another nice thing about the HH Superior frog is it has a very striking white belly, and if you work ...

Re: Rods Techna AV
Hi fongkin, I used to fish a lot of fenwick but thats a brand that I see going downhill faster then a bullet. You can pick up Fenwick specials at Walmart or Sportmart all the time these days. The techna AV's are still decent rods, but I'm not a big fan of the Aramid veil system...when i fished them ...

Re: Best Chronarch choice article posted
I fish the MG and SF version of this reel. I'm usually in th Delta so the SF is the only reel I can fish over there. I love the reel and it would be my numbe rone choice out of the three as well. For magnesium if you want lightweight the Daiwa TD-Z is still the best in my book. Gyro, I think that fr...

Re: Bay Area Crappie
Hi Phishman, I have fished San Pablo with little success for Crappie, but it may be because the one time I went the weather just wasn't in favor of good fishing. But I do fish for Crappie on two SOuth Bay lakes that can really produce. About a year a ago I had a 50+ fish day on lake Anderson. Proble...

Re: Lure-Eyes Polarized Sunglasses
Bass'n'AZ I totally agree with you. I picked up a pair of the Falcon's a last year and these are the lightest most comfortable glasses I have ever fished. They simply don't get in the way. Best of all they look and feel like they were designed for fishing, not just some frame with polarized lenses. ...

Re: Your watercraft
Well you guys probably guessed it...I have a Nitro 700LX. Small little starter boat but it runs great. Doesn't ride as smooth as a Champion r Ranger but its a world better then the aluminum Bass Tracker's which have a much harsher ride. I wish I had a Minn Kota trolling system over the stock motorgu...

Re: Buying tackle
I'll typically go look and play with tackle that I am interested in at the local tackle shops then buy it online to avoid sales tax or benefit from lower prices. Bass Pro or Tackle Direct are both great places to start.

Re: Tackles for popping GT??
Hi Albackore
23 lbs on the Avet is pretty impressive. Are they pretty smooth, say compared to the trinidad or Saltiga? I've fished with a lot of reels with great drags but they felt "geary'not very smooth. Are the Avet's a different story?
Thanks...

Re: New Review: Shimano Stradic FH & Daiwa Capricorn Sho
I totally agree with this review. I have found Daiwa Spinning reels to be a lot more reliable then even the newest Shimano spinning reels (with the exception fo the Stella, which is absolutely fantastic) but I find the exact opposite to be true for casting, where the Chronarchs are still some of the...

Re: Best Tackle Bag to buy?
Hi Jeff,
I'm almost 100% Bass, and from the show coverage I saw a pic of you next to what I think is the "bass king" tackle bag. Is this bag coming out soon? Will it use the same material and configuration system as the AblackoreII?
Thanx
