I mainly fish rivers for smallmouth and the Cordell Big O is my go to square bill. I have been using them for years with success. Till I see a need for me to go to the more expensive brands, I am quite happy with these. I do own a couple of the RC 1.5's and I havent noticed a difference in my catch ...

Been using Daiwa Samurai Braid in Hi-Vis yellow for the last 2 years with no leader.

Another vote here for the Revo Winch. I have had mine for a little over 2 years and I couldnt be happier with it. It casts very well and has a great drag. I am a Diawa guy at heart but I just couldnt love up to the Crazy Cranker for deep cranking, its been regulated to medium/shallow depths.

Some very nice reels in this thread, I dont have much to add other than reels I use everyday. Nothing fancy on my end, just work horses.
