Mowe a few more lawns and shovel a few more driveways, and you will have that $700 lump sum in no time
I'd have to sell one of my kids to get that kind of money!

Me, too, but I learned it as the double Albright. My knot at the bait will fail before my braid to

Re: Supertuning/Modifying your reels...

The biggest benefit of knob bearings to me is eliminating play. I notice almost no difference other than that. Same thing with levelwind bearings. I couldn't tell the difference between a reel with and one without those. Still, if you're going to supertune a reel you might as well go all the way. M...

Re: Small bearing greaser

Forgive an uneducated question, but would a heavier oil, like unit oil for example, work, and be easier to apply than grease?

Re: Lew's Tournament Pro - icast

He is saying that the bearing under the cc cap supports the end of the pinion gear (instead of the spool shaft as in past reels). Before, the pinion was actually held in place by the shaft. Now the bearing supports the pinion and the shaft floats in the pinion without touching the inside of it. Thi...

Re: Lew's Tournament Pro - icast

I'd still like to see a schematic and see if they went with a true style dual support or however they did it. Looking at the schematic , I'm not seeing it. I might be missing something ? https://www.lews.com/themes/lews_theme/assets/media/manuals/casting/TP1BI-LINGUALMANUAL.pdf The second pinion be...

Re: Another Masterpiece from Roman Made : South

Cal,
Since it's a two piece bait, does it swim with the same S shape as two piece glide baits?

Guess it is a matter of perspective to some degree. And once upon a time, I thought time was constant... come to find out my head ages faster than my feet according to Einstein, Hilbert, and Grossman who combined developed the theory of relativity... Then why do my feet smell like they're older tha...

Re: SV Spool Inductor

Which SV spools are prone to be stuck? Never had any issues with Zillion or Steez G1 spools. My SV105P spool had the stuck inductor even put in the white ramp still just not right. Blow ups for no apparent reason ruining my line. Pretty much gave up on the reel hangs in the basement now replaced by...

Re: Using ultrasonic unit to apply lubricant

But a really thin lubricant, like corrosion X, might be easier and faster to apply with one. Then again, I may just be suffering from keyboard dementia. Hahaha To answer the op's question- no. And how would it be faster? I can put some X in a bearing in seconds without getting up out of my seat to ...

Re: Using ultrasonic unit to apply lubricant

Well you'd definitely get it into every nook and cranny - just wondering how the ultrasonics would go in a more viscous medium even if by just that much... So for this applicable process would be - wash out, dry, ultrasonics application of oil, removal and dry off excess oil. How much benefit would...
