Re: Disassembling a tdz to relube

I've never had Daiwa roller bearing come apart easily or accidentally. I have only pulled one apart on purpose. I would guess, like the other responses, it probably should be replaced. The time I did take one apart, I was finally able to get it all back together again. I had to use grease to "glue" ...

Re: Got a Megabass TD Ito help me validate my buy!

I had 2 TD-Ito's back several years ago, but eventually sold them. I regret getting rid of them all the time! I will get around to buying at least one more again sometime soon... I think they are the best looking reel I have ever seen. I used mine with 6.3 aluminum gears from a steez, some boca spoo...

Re: Rakuten Order

Hopefully you will get the right order. Maybe they just goofed on the confirmation.

Re: Curado K part measurement question

I have some Curado I's. The Curado K has an added bearing that sits directly above the tube I am inquiring about (just like most Daiwa reels have had since the 1990's). The added bearing here adds some extra support to keep the drive shaft in more precise alignment, which in turn keeps the gears ali...

Curado K part measurement question

I am looking to find out the total length (preferably in millimeters) of the "roller clutch inner tube" on the Curado 200K. It is part number 5647 on the schematic.

If anyone has time to provide the measurement to me I would greatly appreciate your help! Thank you!!!!!!

Re: TD-ito Project

Yep that ZPI mjr colored spool is a dead perfect match to the Ito. I had one several years back and I miss it now. I would say get some brand new drag washers too. The two Ito’s I’ve owned had super stuttery stock drag. Carbontex fixed that problem quick. I put brass gears in one of mine, and 6.3 st...

Re: Any non magnesium td-z/x models?

I believe the closest would be the original style Zillions but they have the bigger sized spool than the TD-Z’s though...

Re: scorpion bfs

The TD-Ito has a black colored aluminum drive gear. I remember years ago some people thought it was plastic too!

Re: Goodbye Gander Mountain

Gander Mountain gun prices were ridiculously high compared to other stores in town. They always had Glocks marked up $100 more than other places. I found some good ammo prices there though sometimes. Fishing selection was not big enough for me to even bother with.

Wow what a blatant rip off of the Steez body style. It's about as bad as the luck-e-strike vision 110 knock offs.

Re: Need 7.3:1 Gear Set for Zillions Type R's- Where to order?

Yep Tackle Trap is my favorite place to get gearsets. I have ordered new gearsets from Daiwa USA and then received clearly old and used gearsets from them on multiple occasions, and had to send them back. It still makes me angry just thinking about it! Every gearset I have bought from Tackle Trap ha...

Re: curado or scorpion 70 spool options

Nothing exists yet for the 70's as far as I know. Avail had some for the 200i's but it looks like everyone is sold out of them now.

I can't tell what you did. It has been a while since I owned a Steez. Are the magnets different or moved out maybe? Thanks.

Re: SVS system sits loose on Avail spool...

That stinks. I was actually thinking about getting one of these spools for my 5.5:1 Curado I. Please keep us updated on your situation. I hope that indeed it is just a fluke and you are able to get a replacement that is perfect.
