Re: Favorite finesse jigs
Pour my own in the "Eakins Jig" style using a short skirt. Use several sizes but usually 5/16. It is a Do-It mold.

Re: Medium diving baits - Which ones do you use
I like the Fat Free Shads. They come in a number of sizes so you can pick the depth you want up to a size 8 I believe. And the Model A still works too!

Re: how do you get around TW not having a wishlist?
I have a pen and paper and often list interesting items for future reference. I can then go back and compare to select the most suitable stuff. I also compare prices with other suppliers. I find TW very hard to beat!

Ledge baits advice
Working on my ledge bait boxes and need to fill some "big bait" holes. Got worms, cranks, football jigs and even big shaky heads etc. Need opinion on best heads (3/4 and 1 oz.) for swim baits, both solid (Big Hammer) and hollow body (Basstrix) in 6-7 inch size. Also 1 ounce sized spinnerbaits with d...

Jackall Gantarel I know the firt two are 4" and 20 bucks each but hey I am a Megabass bait guy so what's 20? The Gantarel (40) at 6" and 2.5 ounces may be in a different class but seems to be get...

I also repaint the filed area of the black guides with a paint pen. And I agree, I file even the micros a bit on the tip.

Re: Any good drop shot tutorials?
Aaron is one of the best in my opinion. Just remember to keep it simple and you will have few problems. I use StCroix MLXF dropshot rods and 2500 sized reels. Like braid/leader and straight floro (7 pound Sniper). The new Gama dropshot hooks work great and I use Quick Drop lead weights.

Re: best combo
Easy for me. My custom Croix SCV 6'10" MLXF drop shot rod which I put together a year or so ago. I have a Shimano CI14+ on it and I am usually starting with a green something Robo 6" straight tail. I fish everything from 5 pound to 20 and about 50/50 cast and spin but the drop shot gets the most pla...

Re: TT Reels Shootout - Getting Complacent?
Just a couple of comments: 1. Shimano dropped the price on the Curado a bunch. Does that sound like they are jumping off the shelves? 2. Daiwa had a mess with the new system. So what do the do? Build more of the same. 3. Both companies have not really tried that much to come out with a really great ...

Re: Cleaning ARB bearing?
Yep missing springs was the problem. One on the floor and one stuck to my grease toothbrush. Just like the BB's they run all over! And yes I put the parts in an empty egg box. Just missed them this time.

Re: Cleaning ARB bearing?
BINGO! I think springs are GONE! No idea where they went because the reel was working fine before. I will check this out now!
