Re: Tackle storage for bank fishing

I bought a mid sized back pack from Ozark Trail that has room for 3 3600 boxes, plenty of side pouches for tools and the top is a lined cooler that can hold a few cans or bottles or bags of plastics. It think it was around 25 bucks. It is great for bank fishing or taking excursions in my plastic pon...

Re: Recommend $100 UL Spin Rod for Minijigs and 2 lbs test?

I have a bunch of Major Craft rods. For the price point/value, I don't think you'll find anything close to them. About the only one I didn't much care for was a 562 Trapara XUL. But then again I expected a little more backbone from it, it might be perfect for trout fishing. I have a few kuying rods ...

Re: Micro bass jig BFS rod

I've got multiple combos for that but my favorites would be my 6'8" L BFS Poison Glorious Long Distance with a 12 Aldebaran BFS XG and my 6'5" L BFS Expride with a Aldebaran Mg-7 or 16 Aldebaran BFS XG. If I were to buy a new combo today, it would be the new 6'8" L BFS Expride with a...

Megabass Vision 110 broken bill fix

The Megabass Ito Vision 110 broken bill fix by C. DeFronzo Let's get past the notion that a hard bait that costs 24.00 a pop should not have the all too common problem of its bill breaking off.........under any circumstances. I know it happens a lot and I know that guys are furious because it happen...

Re: Spoon storage and hook swaps...

Question regarding using these spoons with such light line......do you feel a split ring or oval split would be a good option to tying directly to the spoon?

Re: Sensitivity - my test of 1 vs 2 piece

With the advent of the spigot ferrule this discussion rarely comes up. I have owned several high end US domestic market UL rods that were 1 piece and they did not measure up in sensitivity to even a medium end Major Craft 2 piece ajing rod. While there are some 1 piece JDM UL rods the majority of t...

Re: Sensitivity - my test of 1 vs 2 piece

I have no issue with any modern era 2 piece spigot type rods and I own quite a few among different manufacturers. IMO the degree of sensitivity is more in the hands of a particular angler than the rod itself ... not saying one rod can't be more sensitive than another, I just think there's more to t...

Re: JDM JIGS..

I absolutely crush in the clear limestone rivers here in Florida with a Keitech Model II jig.
I like the smaller tungsten heads. They do have smaller hooks but I don't think that is a bad thing.

Re: Finding a "Light" BFS rod???

I am a huge fan of Major Craft's 682L Volkey but they don't make it anymore. I think the Speedstyle 682L is a perfect replacement for it. It is a really good BFS rod.

Re: DAIWA GEKKABIJIN MX M72L-S

Tell me about the 5pc make up.......does it feel really solid to you?
I have become a big fan of the 2pc rods the last few years after absolutely hating the older ones I grew up with.
I'd love to learn more about this rod.
