Re: New Teton Stream Soft UL

I've purchased 8 Kuyings and I really like them. I have 4 Tetons and UL's a couple Topcasters and a pair of Tournament casting rods. The only thing I see that seems to separate this from the standard Teton UL, aside from looks, is that it is a fast action rod which means it shouldn't be as soft as t...

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

I've noticed that for sinking type lures like this and blades, they are really good and don't tend to tangle braid. I had a couple of guys testing these for me and the thing that they kept saying was that braid line got caught up in the treble points or barbs pretty consistently. I've noticed this a...

Re: UL Deep Jerkbaits

Besides the LC Bevy Shad 40DD...and possibly the Staysee 60 (though that's pushing it size wise)... what other deep suspending UL jerkbaits are out there? 6+ ft, 1-2". Lucky craft pointer 48dd, zipbaits khamsin jr (50mm) or khamsin tiny (40mm), osp dunk 48sp or floating, megabass dive 48, duo ...

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

I finished these three yesterday. I ran out of props. So they will likely be the last for a bit as I move on to tying hair jigs and float n flies for the fall.

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

I did a real test the other day and in just 3 casts I caught my first bass on the bait. I used a Saros 1000 w/ 3lb Nanofil on a Kuying 7" ML Topcaster to throw the 1 5/8" single hooked bait. The 12" largemouth didn't hurt the bait at all. I intend to fish this bait on a lighter rod bu...

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

In my pool testing, I've noticed there is a little bit of prop spin as the bait falls.

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

I still have a solid amount of 60s but am starting to run low on the money colors. The little custom Perakko you made are the coolest thing I've seen in awhile! Did you copy their SW sink rate or mirror the 60's sink rate? If you ever sell any let me know lol. The 1 5/8" bait can be made to we...

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

There is the Tetra Works Perakko but you have to source them. One of the things I like about the Duo Realis 80 is how it shimmies side to side on the fall. Were you able to get your smaller spybaits to do that, and, if so, how? I was able to duplicate that shimmy. I think the proper keel weighting ...

Re: My UL Spybait Challenge

The rumor is that they are bringing the 60 back in 2020. The Tetra Works Perakko mini prop is a JDM only bait and you can find them sporadically on eBay.
