Re: Core 50 Sideplate Screw

Bantam, From the schematics (thank goodness I keep all of them), it's labeled part 4044. It's on the handle side, which has 2 screws, both 4044. I found a site that has aftermarket screws, which says replace part number BNT 4044. But I'd rather get it from ya'll. i may or may not have one i gotta c...

Core 50 Sideplate Screw

Guys,

What's the easiest way to get a Core50 MG7 side plate screw?

I caught a fish today and realized it was gone. Hopefully it's not too much of a pain? I don't mind driving to the Shimano Irvine location for a screw.

Thanks!

Re: Do You still Use Lures that You Bought, When You're a Kid?

I still *have* lures that I bought when I was a kid, but there are probably at the bottom of the archeological dig that is my tackle room. All the older stuff is at the bottom. I found a few bags of hand poured worms that were popular in the late 80s and early 90s, but apparently rubber doesn't last...

Re: Rod Action on Website/Product Guide

Pretty much all of the Expride B models are fast or extra fast actions. The parabolic rods will be the cranking rods and will have the G in the model number. These will be the closest to what you had since the Cumara Reaction rods were all moving bait type rods (cranks, jerkbaits, spinnerbait, etc)...

Re: Flick Shake Advice

Quite honestly, I've only thrown the Flick Shake in a Neko rig. The weight I use depends on the conditions, but it's usually thrown on 6 to 8 pound flouro. I don't even drag it either. It's the most boring retrieve ever, because all I do is shake the slack enough for there to be a bow. Then I slowly...

Rod Action on Website/Product Guide

Hey, Why are there some rods on the website/product guide that have the rod's action as just dashes? The backstory: I broke my Cumara Reaction 7'6 ML, which apparently is a f*cking unicorn of a rod, as the length and the parabolic action I can't find anywhere. Since the Expride B line didn't have th...

Light and Long Cranking Setup

I set the hook on a fish with my favorite rod and unfortunately the butt end broke, and I'm now looking for a replacement for a rod that isn't made anymore. Cumara Reaction Series, Gen 1. The random 7'6" "Medium Light" model that worked great with small cranks up to 1/4 ounce. The happy zone was in ...

Re: Green tinted flouro in 5-6 lb

Sunline used to make a Shooter Invisible (sometimes referred to as Metan) that came in a camo and a green tint. Best line I've ever used. So good that Sunline discontinued it, and just stuck with the regular plain ole Shooter, which feels and fishes different, or at least IMO. https://m.media-amazon...

Re: Bad tackle thread (what to avoid)

You had a chance to use these yet? How’s the hook compared to the Break Blade(diameter, strength)? I’ve been using the Break Blade Winning Spec the last few trips. Head is a little different and the wire extends back into the head. Landed some giants including one of the biggest redfish I’ve had my...

Re: Bad tackle thread (what to avoid)

Are these new or old? Saw them a while back and looked for some info and found nothing, only sold on one site and not on Jackalls website from what I could find. Much better design though, except for the grass catching slot  Just ordered more Break Blades though so I’m good for now \:D/ These ...

Re: Daiwa J-Fluoro Samurai Fluorocarbon

The heavier sizes may not have issues, but the 6# and 8# that I used had to be taken off the reels after I was fed up with the knot failures.

Line looks great, but its performance left a lot to be desired.

Re: Bad tackle thread (what to avoid)

Looks like the powers that be must have addressed the issue with the Break Blade.

Apparently the new design is not going to 'break' as easily.

Re: Evergreen Little Max

Found a replacement!

Decoy V-F52 Double Hook

The hooks are such an integral part of the bait's balance, and I was afraid I'd be having to source them from Japan. Good thing I can get them at TW, I was just looking in the wrong direction.

Evergreen Little Max

So, the stock double (frog?) hooks that these come with, I believe size 6, are hard to come by. Is there a replacement anybody has found when the stock hooks get beat to %hit by the fish, as they're very light wire? Or am I going to have to source the Evergreen branded replacement stock hooks? https...
