Re: Nrx 823syr
I have the 852s and love it. However I fish some deep grass and wanted some extra power. I bought the 823 hoping that I would gain that extra power. To me it felt the same as the 852 only 3" shorter. I ended up getting rid of it and using my 852 again.fyi... I have the 842c and 843c and there is a n...

Re: who loves recoil guides
My envy's and nrx's have them. They work great for me, never had a problem with them. I like the fact that I don't have to worry about the inserts popping out anymore.

breaking down the differences between the 843 and 853 nrx
I own the 853 nrx rod currently. I bought it to replace the 853 glx. Like many have said before, it feels more like an 852.5 than an 853. The rod rarely makes the rotation like the 873 because of its lack of power. So my question is, what does the 843 nrx fish like? Powerwise, it is similar, just sl...

GLX 855/895
Has anyone played around with one 855 or 895. Curious just how much tip and power this rod has compared to say the nrx 873 (heavier than a "3" power) or the dx745.

Re: Are the 13 Fishing rods as good as advertised?
I would go 7'1 MH if they made it in extra fast, but they only have a fast in that model. My 7'3 MH extra fast already has a lot of tip, not sure if I would like the fast model for bottom contact.... I'll probably end up going 7'1 H because it is an extra fast.

Re: Are the 13 Fishing rods as good as advertised?
I have the 7'3 MH and 7'3 H. Both are extra fast actions. I will tell you that 13's extra fast is not loomis' extra fast. They fish almost identical to the Dobyn's Extreme 744 extra fast. In fact, I find the 13 Envy's closest competition to be the Dobyns Extreme. They just feel the same in weight,ba...

Re: comparison
Yeah, I took that into consideration. The reel seat nut that is on my dobyns is only slightly shorter than the foregrip on the Envy and Steez. So they're basically one in the same if that makes sense. The Recoils are slightly larger than the nrx guides but smaller than the bcr series.

Re: comparison
Let us know how she fishes! Seems to good to be true for a hundred bucks, but all the reviews have been stellar thus far. I've had enough, I'm ordering one right about now!! Think I'm gonna mount a Lexa 100 on her - Damn you bait monkey, DAMN YOU ](*,) I am comparing the $250 Envy series, not the $...

comparison
So I received my 7'3 H extra fast 13 Envy. I wanted to see how it matched up against some of my other relatively similar "heavy" rods. I compared it to the NRX 873 (which I consider a 4 powered rod), a 7'1 compile x, and dobyns 745 (which does not fish nearly as heavy as its big brother the 895). To...

Re: 13 Fishing Omen vs Dobyns Savvy
I have tried alot of rods in the $100 - $160 range and the Savvy's are really good rods as well as Powells. From Abu's Vendetta to Villain, from Shimano's Clarus to Crucial, from Daiwa's T-Rods to thier L&T, and many more out there.....I haven't found "IT". However, in my endless search for "IT" or...

Re: DX745 vs. DX795
If you consider the 745 a true 5 power then the 795 should have been called a 796.

Re: New 2012 product additions
Bantam, you stated "The Tranx will start shipping in February. As of right now there are no plans for a lefty."
Are these plans for both the Tranx and the Core? I'm hoping that there will be a lefty core

Re: Is the MGX saltwater safe?
I've used aldebarans and metaniums for the past 3 years on the potomac and have yet to have any concerns. Before I used the MGX, I thought that I would check to see what Abu was stating.
