Re: Announcing DaveJ/Shinner's Paddle Tail Reverse Grip Give

After folding to peer pressure from DaveJ. I'm adding the following report along with a SRG. After receiving a Curado 200DHSV & Powell 7' Heavy EF 704C combo via the Tackle Tour For Sale/Wanted/Trade forum last week, I finally got out to give 'em a test drive. I had planned to hit a secret body of w...

Re: best shad swimbait/rod/reel combo

You can throw that hudd shad on a spinnerbait set-up it weighs less then 1/2oz ditto Yep, just went out and threw some Hudd Shads on my new Curado 200DHSV & Powell 7' Heavy EF 704C combo. This is going to be my spinnerbait setup but I knew it would work perfectly for Hudd Shads. *please note the ob...

Re: Gearing Up for the Fall Stocking

Wow, that's a nice selection of Huddies. I only have a couple but haven't really thrown them much. However, I too am anxious for the fall stocking. I don't have much experience with rigging them though I did try the stinger hook approach on a ROF5. I didn't like the way the hook sat on the bait's ba...

Re: REEL: Shimano Chronarch 50Mg ?

I don't know anything about the reel but it doesn't look like it will hold enough line. Not to mention, even though it is a light, 5.9 ounces, it may be too light to balance out your setup (not sure what rod you're going to use) and that may end up causing fatigue.

Re: California Classic Twins

Just an idea, but could it be that the tail hook on the double jointed is killing some of the action? It looks pretty big for such a small tail section but what do I know. Maybe try removing that treble and giving it another test swim? Just throwin' ideas out there. Good luck.

Re: Speaking of Mission Fish

Dave,
I got some 4", 5" & 6". The colors are Black, Shad & Bluegill. I got them in on Monday but have yet to try any. I may be able to sneak out tonight or tomorrow to a farm pond to test 'em out. Only problem is, there aren't any slobs in this pond. :(

Re: Mission fishin

It can handle up to 2.5oz easily. It's a nice rod I pitch a doublewide on 3/8oz alotta time with it also. I also have the Xh flipping rod that I use for gills and other swimbaits that need to be pitched up to 3oz like a shellcracker or some of the bigger mission fish. I'm digging the 4" it's kind o...

Thanks. I figured they stain but I was concerned with deformed tails.

Speaking of Mission Fish

First off, I can't say enough about Rina, and her customer service. I have friends that aren't that nice/helpful. Anyway, I just got an order in from 3:16 and I was wondering about Mission Fish storage. Now I'm not so worried about my hardbaits like the WakeBait Jrs. or even the BabyWake Shad ...

Re: Mission fishin

Nice report. I just got a order of Mission Fish and I'm amped to throw them. Quick question, the Setyr 7'9" H Flippin Stick is rated at 1/2-4. Is that a realistic rating? I wouldn't mind having a rod that could pull double duty and flip a 1/2oz jig as well as throw a 4"-6" Mission fish as I feel my ...

Re: Okuma Big Bait Rod 7'6" Med Hvy - Opinions

Thanks, guys. Like I said, I already have the 7'11" Heavy action Okuma which throws pretty much everything I want it to. I guess I'll hold off on the MH. Thanks for the opinions.
