Re: Megabass rods keep breaking while casting
Something is or was definitely up with Megabass rods recently. Had a new Warhammer snap the first time I flexed it...Buddy of mine had the same rod, bought at the same time, and it broke exactly the same way and in the same spot. Another friend has had several Destroyers and XX's break in the same ...

Re: Interesting Take on Drop Shot Knot
Saw another video where the person took the lines which cinch on the sides of the eye and pulled them to the top so no line in the gap. Works great but have to be more detailed when you cinch it.

Re: Interesting Take on Drop Shot Knot
I’ve tried it with 6 and 8 lb test and find it seats into the hook eye gap, I didn’t fish it and wouldn’t trust it with smaller lines. I will be trying it with some heavier line for bubba-shotting. I used it last year and had a bunch of break offs at the knot. I finally figured out this is what was...

Re: Conquest 905C Question
From a strictly power perspective, how does the 905c compare to the next 895c? If anyone has experience with both? For being 1" longer with a weight rating being 3oz up from the 1oz rating on the 895 I was impressed this summer overall with the 905C MBR. I owned 2 NRX895C JWR's. Used them for pitch...

Re: Best combo for a chatterbait?
You guys that are losing fish on the bladed jig aren't using the right tackle to get a good hook set, or are letting the fish get slack. Any jig style bait will tend to get thrown when a fish gets slack because of the heavy weight at the front of the hook. It is simple physics. The simple answer is...

Re: EDGE RODS by Gary Loomis?
Same story here with customer service. You can search my posts too. I had one of the first ones, broke first trip out on a 2 lb fish and they wanted to charge me MORE than the stated warranty replacement. I wouldn’t touch them with a 10 ft pole so to speak. Not worth it with so many choices and good...

Re: 50 mg7
Do the Core mg7 gears fit the Curado 50e? Or any other gear sets work? And other than the gear set any other parts needed?

Are the Conquest guides true micro? Or semi micro like the NRX size wise?

Conquest 905 vs nrx 895
Comparing action has anyone owned both? Specs are listed funny on Loomis website (10-15lb test and 3/8 -1 1/4 oz rated) vs tackle warehouse and tackle trap both have it listed : Line Rating: 15-25 Lure Rating: 3/4 - 3 oz. Power: Ex-Heavy Action: Fast. So trying to figure out where it lies as compare...

Re: Core MGFV
If I’m correct the Mg7 gear is the right one? It’s brass like the MGFV Bantam? The parts for MG7 are listed on the Shimano site but the MGFV is not.Bantam1 wrote:The MGFV has been discontinued for a while now. We still have gears for them.

Re: Core 100mgfv
Yes but the MGFV has the brass not aluminum gears. I figured it out with some help, the MG7which was released later has the brass gear, probably to keep it simple manufacturing wise. Thanks

Re: Chatterbait rod
I use an old steez fle x lite crankbait rod. But I think it's important to have some give when those fish slap at it rather than eat it did. You'll hook more of those fish when that happens I have the dobyns 736 but it's a little deader feeling and a bit long and heavy for my tastes but I'm not a ta...
