Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
There should be one end with a groove for the c or e clip and the other end has a "T" for the idle gear to attach. A spacer can be added under the idle gear to help space the wormshaft if it needs adjustment. The Chronarch D should have had one spacer, maybe 2 at most. If the line is stacking toward...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
Where did you grind/cut the wormshaft? It should have been a direct swap. It's possible the replacement you received was not marked correctly and for a different reel.

Re: Rod Action on Website/Product Guide
The closest rods we have for power and action will be Zodias ZDC70MLGA, Curado CDC70MLGA or a touch more power G.Loomis IMX-PRO 903C CBR. The IMX is the only 7'6" model that is close. The 841C is 7' but a true ML cranking rod.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Worm Gear BTN4010
Try Southwestern Parts & Service in Dallas, TX or Coastline in North Carolina. BNT3822 can be used, the material and coating is slightly different but it will fit and work.

Re: Rod Action on Website/Product Guide
Pretty much all of the Expride B models are fast or extra fast actions. The parabolic rods will be the cranking rods and will have the G in the model number. These will be the closest to what you had since the Cumara Reaction rods were all moving bait type rods (cranks, jerkbaits, spinnerbait, etc)....

Re: 2024 Shimano SLX 70 Question
I was able to confirm the changes are Silent Tune and new MGL III spool. The frame and side plates are the same. So better casting performance overall will be the major difference.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Typically the yoke doesn't wear on the bearing supported pinion gears. I suppose anything is possible. Noises are tough to diagnose over a forum. It's one of those things if I had it in hand I'm sure its easy to determine what it is. If you were local I would suggest bringing it by for me to take a ...

Re: 2024 Shimano SLX 70 Question
Silent Tune and MGL III spool should improve the casting performance, especially with lighter lures. I am not sure if they share the same frame tooling or not. I have not had a chance to see one in person yet.

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
Is there line on the spool? Put your thumb on the spool to give a little load and see if the noise is still there. If the spool is empty and you are throwing the handle there can be a little sound which is normal. Also make sure the cast control knob is set to eliminate any side to side play on the ...

Re: Chronarch MGL...
The Metanium has an Mg side plate. It is not CI4. The Aldebaran uses carbon side plates, maybe that is where the confusion happened. Stripped threads in the composite side plates isn't very common. It usually only happens if you overtighten the screw, or cross thread it slightly. Remember they are e...

Re: Ticking Sound-Stradic FM
I can say we have not had many returns to our repair department or returned from dealers. I strongly suggest sticking with the US/NA models so if there is an issue we can address it. The biggest change for Stradic FM was making it easier to turn the handle under a load. That is carried down from Ste...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
The grease from the factory reels is mostly to protect parts in transit because they travel via ship to our ports. They do what they can to protect all the parts from any possibility of corrosion. You would be surprised how much of a difference it can make just to clean the spool shaft and center of...

Re: Chronarch 100D7 Noise
It sounds like gears to me as best as I can hear in your video. Typically the pinion bearing will make a different noise if it is bad. When you have the reel apart you can simply rotate that bearing in your finger and feel if it is rough. Noises can be difficult to diagnose even over a video. Much e...
