Re: 24 Daiwa Airtiy SF Lightest reel From Daiwa ever

Does anyone know what the differences are between the SF and the ST SF? Unfortunately all the promo and Japanese tackle show videos are in Japanese and have no subtitles. I mean, why would they bother making just a SF without the ST? Either way I’m going to order the 1000SS STSF for trout.

Re: New Stradic Fm

So what does the Stella have that the new Stradic FM doesn’t have? At this point it’s hard to justify a Stella when the Stradic has most of its technology.

Re: Trika Rods

I sent mine back because I didn’t like the way the handle on the spinning felt. The cut outs on the handle just didn’t feel right. It was very uncomfortable. The guides on the 73H casting seemed rough when I was pulling on the line to do a bend test. It would kink my line and make the section that w...

Re: What is the smoothest stock Daiwa reel you've ever used?

My Daiwa line up only consists of Tatulas. My original Tatula SV is one of the smoothest reels I own. It’s as smooth as my Bantams, Met DC, and Metanium Bs. The new 2020 Tatula Sv is lighter but has a hollow feel, regardless I still love it. I’ll eventually add a new Zillion 1000 Sv TW, it sounds li...

I love the looks. Also says full metal body. I wonder if it’s just the frame, frame+handle side plate, or frame and both side plates. :-k

Re: Certate LT weak bail issue?

Guys I’ve had this problem right out of the box. So it can’t be crud build up or bent bail wires. Thanks for the replies. I’ll keep trying Daiwa since it sounds like a defect.

Certate LT weak bail issue?

Do any of you guys that own a Certate LT find that the bail close mechanism is on the weak side? I have two of the 2500s and one of mine doesn’t even close all the way sometimes. I always close by hand but these reels just don’t shut with that usual thump like other reels. I’ve tried emailing Daiwa ...

Re: Best lipless crankbait in da business

Can’t go wrong with a Red Eye shad or Booyah one knocker. I also miss the Lucky Craft GP 200 Spin for 5-6FOW. Those were magic. The little blade on the chin of the bait drew strikes when fish got conditioned to everything else.

Re: Your opinion on the Daiwa's Zero Adjuster

I like it. It’s hard to move and stays put once you find your preferred setting. The cast control on my old Chronarch 51Mg is so loose I swear it loosens just from making several casts all day. I could care less about clicks. I like it when knobs and dials stay put.

Re: At the end of the day, did you like the 13Fishing Concept Z?

I picked up two when they went on clearance for $100. I don’t like the buzzing noise on the cast but the retrieve is butter smooth because the spool rides on those CZB bearings. No noise whatsoever during retrieves. I dig it at the price I paid. I also love the way it fits my hands. Very compact and...

Re: Reel Suggestions for 754c Rod

I currently have a Tatula Elite mounted on my DRX724C and it looks awesome! I haven’t used it yet so I’m very concerned about my fg knot passing through the top 4 guides as they seem to be semi-micro. I’ll be using 30lbs braid to 15-17lbs leaders. Any of guys have problems with leader knots with the...

Dobyns 735c fits the bill. I don’t have any experience with the others you mentioned but that 735c is great for jigs and frogs.

I like getting “deals” so between the two I’d go with the Kistler since you can get the Evergreen all day long for $200.
