Re: Tatula Elite Rods

I have the Brent Ehler rod.
Pm me your questions. It’s a great rod for what I do. The action is different and took a minute for me to get use to.
I have mine paired with a sv reel that I put a Steez face plate on and 7:.9:1 gears with a megabass honeycomb spool.
Simply a pleasure combo

Re: Champion Extreme 745HP

Well I had the 1st champion extreme 742 then got the 742 hp extreme, not much better in sensitivity. I had a 1st gen extreme 745 & sold it, my buddy said his $150 duckett was just as good, then he sold it. If you're in that $300+ zone and worried bout sensitivity, just save and get a 894c nrx f...

Re: Advice for a new rod

Hi, On the occasions that I can only bring a few rods, I usually carry a NRX 893 and a NRX 894. I'm looking for a rod that is in between the 893 and the 894. This rod would be an all purpose rod that could handle senkos, yet stout enough to handle 3/4 spider jigs. Any suggestions? The lakes where I...

JDM Plastics

I brought some RAID Battle Hogs and i will just say that the durability is there. I have the 3.8 inch and it will slow a jig down. It is rather heavy for its size but the sink rate of a 3/8 and less jig is superb if your looking to slow it down. It has the wigglers as well for the undulation action ...

It’s 2018, why are you buying reels from the past

I’m on travel. A lot of travel and this is one time that I’m close enough to civilization to get a signal. I had been looking to buy a Steez ex ( I have one already but that’s not the point) and I was asked why am I looking to buy a reel drone times past? It’s a valid question so I gave it minimal t...

Re: What are You PUNCHING with?

Ran the NRX916 UBR loved it, decided to try the Curado 7'7H F my past trip in June. Caught dozen's of fish it's softer in backbone but kept fish pegged and was just as sensitive. A tick with the NRX felt not much different with the Curado rod. Punching bites are full on pulling rod from hand or a s...

Re: Poppers that "bloop"

One lure I have not heard anyone mention was the old excalibur pop'n image. THAT was a true work horse and it makes that BLOOP that you seek. they weren't the best looking but they worked and I've even spray painted them black when they got to the point where the finish was peeling. If you can find ...
