Spool Observations

I’ve been out and about with my ZPI M and PG spools 1012 and 1016 G1 spools and Steez hyper long Cast spool and ZPI blue emblem spool and KTF kahen spool I’ve gotten to know these spools and how they perform in my reels. This is my experience with the aforementioned spools and my hope is that you sa...

Curious if you are interested in hearing some history from that area, and why I avoid the SJR up there?

How long have you been in that area fishing it?

Always interested

Re: I couldn’t take any more

Trout Creek? As in off off hiway 13 Jacksonville area with boat ramp at the old RV park turned into public park? Have you ever considered going across the river to Black Creek instead? I use to fish that area, but now I am in central Florida. Kingsley lake is near there. Not a whole lot of choices ...

Re: I couldn’t take any more

I’m in Florida as well I went to a military base that only allows active duty or retirees on however the other side of the water is civilian. Yes I probably should have picked a different spot and I thought about it. I was at trout creek yesterday and was looking to do some jb fishing. The crowd doe...

I couldn’t take any more

Planned out my trip, boat was ready so when I awoke all I had to do was go. Well I made it to the lake and after an hour I left. I simply couldn’t take the traffic on the water. Seems like the wakeboarders thought I my boat was a wake board. I’d make a cast and have to reel it in quickly because the...

Re: giron or gigantrel jr.?

For the Giron, I use a swivel connected to the snap. So much line twist without the swivel and when it lands It tracks better with the swivel. I've looked at the Gigantrel jr. myself but I hear that they were hit or miss with the quality of lure you get. So I can't personally speak on the gigantrel ...

Crankbaits rod For ToPwATers

I have an old M/H Crankbaits rod, old cork crucial to be exact and i threw my conquest 50 on it. I was going to use it for poppers or topwater prop baits. Does anyone else use a Crankbait rod for topwater? do you use mono , copo or braid? I've been thinking about shifting to 50lb V2 What has your ex...

Bandit 200.
I tried the 1/4 Oz bandits but the DT6 are 3/8 Oz and I am not sure that makes a difference but the DTC Loves the DT6 so much it’s like it was made for that bait. I’m just experimenting but thanks for the advice
