Re: FYI shimano Daiwa

I really appreciate the idea. I was contemplating on ordering a different handle for a fuego 3000 spinning reel (Not a fan of the stock T-knob) After reading this I realized I had a spare set of Shimano septon knobs laying around that could work. I started tinkering with the idea. First I used a pl...

FYI shimano Daiwa

I brought a handle for Daiwa reels and it’s carbon fiber The standard RCS knobs wouldn’t fit the handle so out of desperation I tried to something. I had the New shimano knobs that I got from the Tackletrap and it works. Flat out work. The caveat IS I used a spacer ( sometimes I double up on the bot...

Looking good, Jorrick. I've been wanting to get one of those drag stars, but haven't pulled the trigger.
Thanks man. I’ve been awaiting the knobs for a week now. It was a gamble
I got the spool and star for CHeaP!

Re: NRX 873cc

Ask away I am just learning this line of rods. Gary over at TackleTrap has been most helpful as well The 72 mh round bend is another standout Absolute joy to fish I have a birthday coming up next month so I think I’m gonna go with the 7 foot four I think I’m just gonna make a shot in the dark

Re: The Offseason Changes Continue!

All about the money. If you have ever read about Shimano/Daiwa sponsorship, it seems Daiwa and many other companies are a much better deal. Shimano seems to be more interested in anglers on YouTube and social media now. Maybe the better deal. I’m thinking a connection to a younger generation is muc...

Re: NRX 873cc

Goldrod, yeah i can comment on all of them. like i said i had the 873 nrx, it was incredibly light and oh so super sensitive. Without a doubt the NRx rods are some of the most sensitive rods on the market, but to me i guess what drove me away was what i said the balance, fit and finish. i feel for ...

Re: New Poison Adrena models listed on TW

Wondering about the 7'4 model myself - it's listed as regular/fast taper. Will it be more of a flipping stick or something more moderate for big reaction baits? I would think it is as powerful as the 73XH Expride but less of a pool cue. So probably along the lines of a shorter flipping stick, as yo...
