Anyone try the Yumeya shallow spool in the Bantam?

I wonder if it comes with the bearing in the spool....

You can remove the bearing but I have found that all they needed was flush and relube

I have the shallow spool
Did the shallow spool come with a bearing though?

Re: A Lesson Worth Sharing

My advice is along these lines... I know some people with more than a hundred ~$200 rods that complain and are envious of rods $400+++. They say they can’t afford them. ?!?!!?? Concentrating on getting 5-10 combos (or less!) that cover all your bases. Really with the same $20,000 (!!!) worth of rod...

Re: A Lesson Worth Sharing

I’m kinda baffled, you can’t be mentioning premium and then turning a blind eye on price :-s Also, I wouldn’t necessarily utilize “mass production” and then slip in Luxxe into the mix  I see lots of subjectivity in your post, which is perfectly fine, but a lot needs to be taken into account ...

Re: ZPI RC-001 vs. RC-002

Of course I am still learning and surfing between ideas of what to write for this paper :-k I found a RC-001S MJR ZPI spool is this the same or different than the ZPI RC-001? This one has the same perforated inductor as the BE.. if that makes a difference.. because I did see one with a nonpreforated...

Re: Bantam MGL

I've put one on a Steez XBD rod with the yumeya shallow spool and 50 braid..
I like it better on this rod for frogs and for swim jigs.

One is on a flipping stick.. I have to see what I did with the other :-k

Re: RARE SPOOLs

It would seem counter intuitive to have such a robust reel like a monoblock and than buy a honeycomb spool. I kinda see it as a finesse spool but as of late I have been rethinking a lot of things so I call it by its nominclature more that what I think its for. This weeks lesson is economic growth, a...

Re: A Lesson Worth Sharing

Agreed that MB makes lots of nice rods. They have a certain style to them for sure. I just prefer Evergreen right now, fit my hand perfectly and love the performance and style. Luxxe, Ultima, Steez RD, etc. there are lots of really amazing JDM rods out there. Which Steez RD do you suggest for Trigs...
