Well, with the 843 test the other day, I was able to get into some 1-3lb smallies up north here and it handled the smallies pretty well on 10lb line. It loaded well and the backbone was pretty goodFishing4Fun wrote:Just seems like so many mixed reviews. Many feel they are juice just not worth the added cost.

Re: Conquest Skeptic
If you could only bring one with you which one would it be and why? The one rod to rule them all? I would take the NRX 854 as if right now.. But thats only because I haven't had a chance to fully use the conquests yet. I did go out today with the intention of using the conquests. I had jigs on them...

Re: Conquest Skeptic
I've only had it for the last 2 days. I liked it enough to buy 2 more. I will have to test it out this weekend and more testing on a variety of fish smallmouth/largemouth and pikes. But so far so good.. I've jumped on the megabass band wagon a few years ago, the same time as when i bought the NRX's ...

Conquest Skeptic
Accidentally posted in the REEL forum. I've been busy all summer so I haven't had much of a chance to fish but recently, been looking at the Conquest rods. I bought 2 to start out with. The 844c and 843c. Brought the 843c to the river and bounced some 1/8 oz swimbaits around and man, I love the rod....

Re: Just Winter Collection
There's some Megabass and Abu in there also
Last year, I had all Abu MGX's and Revo Gen 3's but then I was introduced to the Aldebaran. Once I paired it with my NRX, I knew all my rods needed the aldebarans on there so I went a little crazy with the shimano stuff. haha

Re: Just Winter Collection
I love the Aldebarans. They pair up perfectly with the NRX 853's. I do a lot of pitching so the Aldebarans are perfect for it. I use the Metaniums for casting and throwing swimbaits with the NRX 854's. Metaniums are a little heavier but they do long casts better. Wow soo many Aldebarans. Do you like...

Steez Rod and Guide?
So the other day I was fishing with my 7'1 heavy steez rod.. I put the rod in my storage compartment and when I got home, I noticed that the top ceramic guide fell out. I was p*ssed as there were not hooks or anything up there to push it out.. IT just fell out, no damages or anything.. So anyways, I...

Re: Excellent Ebay seller.....
About a year or two back there was a guy selling his used Loomis rods on Ebay. He had the same thing going on, with a chesty model holding the rods in front of her cleavage. You should have seen the long list of questions that guys had asked her, friggin' hilarious. Only diff is there wouldn't have...
