matt lures trout and triple trout. The hudd doesn't always do it... especially when they want a more active eratic presentation.

Smelly jelly stains soft baits for sure so be careful. I think in general scents will take a toll on a soft plastic baits finish...maybe a little plastic chamber you can embed into the belly that disperses scent would be good?

Thanks for the responses guys, its probably just the light gears. The only thing I'm really wondering about is the spool ticking, when I spin it in freespool it ticks but only when going very fast. Same when I spin the handle (quickly) even with a tight drag. Hope there is no nick on it or anything ...

Mg7 weird cranking feel???
Just got my lefty in the mail today and the first thing I did was give it a few cranks... I don't know if this is how its supposed to be but it felt kinda funny, it was a shhhhhhhh kinda noise as I turned the handle. It very very subtle but also included an almost inaudible ttick tick tick if I cran...
