Re: Megabass US Destoyer new models added to lineup

Gary, do you know i the Bunker Buster has a full grip handle? Both the Bunker Buster and Mark 48 has the same handle style as the Onager - full grip but partial cork partial foam. The handle is obviously longer on the Mark 48 than the Bunker Buster. Well if it behaves somewhat like a similar powere...

Got my javelin today, Looks great . Thanks alot Gary

Thank you and enjoy! I had my Javelin out yesterday junk fishing. I threw everything from a jerk bait, a lipless, and a Dark Sleeper to a 1/2 oz Keitech tungsten FB jig with a small trailer. I absolutely love that rod 8-)

Re: Megabass US Destoyer new models added to lineup

I had the opportunity to fish the Otomat prototype and it was impressive. You didn't happen to throw a weightless trickworm on it did you? I did not throw a weightless trick worm, strictly treble hook hard baits. I'll have one in hand next week sometime and will consider that option. Based on my li...

Re: Megabass new 3 piece travel rods

The Megabass "concept" for these rods is to offer something to the business commuters to pack for a stop at their local pond on the way home from work :D They look sharp! I'm awaiting details on pricing and availability to our US customers and will add accordingly to the site.

Re: Megabass US Destoyer new models added to lineup

I had the opportunity to fish the Otomat prototype and it was impressive. Ours will be in and ready to go next week and of course I'll take one for the team and fish all the new models, but I'm particularly excited about Otomat since i'm not a huge fan of glass rods. This one fills a needed space in...

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?

Steez Compile X for sure. Dead in my hands. St. Croix Mojo and Rage. Hated the way they fished. Agreed. I wanted to love that rod so much but couldn't. The Steez AGS rods are a HUGE improvement in my hands. I don't want to brand bash, but there have been some good points made on this thread already...

Re: Levante combo - kind of like these

Very nice photos, thank you for posting. The new 2019 Levante line was VERY well received at the Bassmaster Classic in Knoxville. Personally, I'm very impressed with them after the lackluster first generation models. Enjoy your new combo and thank you for posting the pics!! Enjoy the new Levante lin...

Re: Jig/Frog Rod for Bank Fishing

the Tour Versatile being 2" shorter and a little lighter in power might suit you better for bank fishing and has additional versatility. How is the Gen 2 TV vs the Gen 1 version? I had a Gen 1 and like it, but threw it out as a trade offer for a deal too good to pass up. I kinda miss it but ha...

Re: Jig/Frog Rod for Bank Fishing

In the XX line, the choice is between the Perfect Pitch and the Tour Versatile. Both are capable jig and frog rods. If the cover you're fishing is heavy, I'd lean more toward the Perfect Pitch. if it's more sparse, the Tour Versatile being 2" shorter and a little lighter in power might suit you...

Re: Zillion SV TW or Chronarch MGL for jig reel

I've fished both quite a bit and I'd take the Zillion SV TW. My last remaining Chronarch MGL gets little use any more as I much prefer the Zillion SV TW all the way around. The Chronarch is a good reel for sure, you'd do well with either one.

Not yet, I imagine they will be a Bassmaster Classic release. I hope Daiwa doesn't wait until ICAST.

Daiwa tells us that we will have them for the Bassmaster Classic. The Tackle Trap will be there, set up at booth 518 in the main expo hall!

Re: Steez A revisited...

I'm a big fan of Zillion SV TW, Steez SV TW, and Steez A. I've fished quite a few different spools in them, and without exception, the ZPI NRC 001-PG spool is by far my favorite in all three platforms. I find it excels in both Zillion SV TW and Steez SV TW, but is no slouch in Steez A either. Steez ...
