Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Between the S112 and S140 which do you recommend for finesse (and weight)? I think I’m giving up on FC for a bit. 😃 Sorry OP to derail your thread. The 10# SS112 has performed beautifully for me with finesse type applications. It's on my Exist LT/Steez AGS 76MML combo now. I find it to be a little ...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Wha--?? How much does a spool of that stuff set you back? Its on our site and is becoming VERY popular, along with the standard SS112 sinking braid - $30 for a 150m before any Tackle Tour member discounts are used... I have never used any of those propeller style swimbait heads, do they actually gi...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

I was skeptical of those. Good to hear they actually work! I figured the prop would foul against the bait all the time. There is a small cup on the hook shank behind the prop and a small ball on the shank of the hook that are well engineered to prevent this issue. The bait keeper is also very well ...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Please do! That would be an interesting combo as my dream setup of a Steez AGS 7'6" and Exist 19 is exactly that... a dream. :) That 76MML Steez AGS/Exist 19 is indeed a dream combo - I thoroughly enjoy mine. The Megabass Flyssa paired up with the 19 Certate is also an incredible combo. I've been f...

Re: Destroyer Flyssa vs Legend Elite 76mlxf

I have both rods, both are very nice indeed. I am generally impressed with the blanks, build quality, and guide train of the St. Croix Legend family. I've been fishing a lot of their rods lately in various series. I find the reel seat and handle design on the Croix to be less than comfortable in my ...

Re: Megabass new 3 piece travel rods

The new Triza rods are up for pre-order at The Tackle Trap. We're hoping to see the early ordered rods arrive in July or August.

Re: **Random thoughts on Megabass**

Too much fun!! The Hattori Hanzo would be an epic build indeed... there are a few rods Megabass has made already that make me think of that mythical, legendary blade. The "Hanzo" collection maybe, past, present, and future 8-) The Mothra would have been a perfect name for the Black Jungle Power Vers...

Re: RaGe vs. Spicy beaver

They have been a very popular seller since we got them. I haven't fished them yet, but I will soon. We've been getting a lot of positive feedback from guys using them as jig trailers and t-rigged specifically. This looks to be another great plastic from the guys at RI...

Re: 19 Certate LT or JDM Exist

Thanks Gary. If the Exist is Mg, then I'll pass due to spending about 50% doing inshore fishing. You're welcome, but keep in mind that Exist LT is salt safe. The advanced paint/coating is extremely difficult to scratch and is also protected inside of the reel... Magsealed bearings are also a bonus ...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Can you feel a difference between the two? So is the compact a 2500 size with a 3000 spool basically? Thanks for all the info. You're welcome. Yes, you can feel and see a difference between Certate LT 3000-CXH and Certate LT 3000-XH. The 3000 is slightly larger, slightly heavier. It would be better...

Re: 19 Certate LT or JDM Exist

There are several key differences between Certate LT and Exist LT. They also share some key similarities. The frame is built from the same tooling, but the Exist LT features a magnesium body and the Certate LT is aluminum. That creates a significant price differential and also shaves off quite a bit...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

I'm curious of the difference between the CERTATELT3000-CXH and CERTATELT3000-XH, it looks like the CXH is the compact version but does that also mean the XH model has larger gears? The 3000-CXH is the compact body design, correct. The 3000-XH is slightly larger in body to accommodate the larger ge...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

One of the big reasons I choose shimano is if I ever need their support or I need to order parts it makes life easy.... The Tackle Trap is an authorized Daiwa warranty center, and one of the few Exist LT certified centers in the US. Parts and service with Daiwa is top notch, very few issues. Our Ce...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Our new Certate LT models will be in stock soon. I'm looking forward to trying it out myself. I've played around with it but haven't fished it yet. I have a feeling it's going to be a very popular reel for guys who don't want to spend Exist money but want a premium quality spinning reel.

Re: Megabass Cyclone

I hope we see the new Super Cyclone Carbon Head soon... ours are on order. It looks like an interesting rod for sure, along with a few other new CH models. I'm looking forward to using some of them this summer. The Hein however is spectacular all the way around and pairs well with an IS. We will hav...
