Re: Best buzzbait

The new Megabass Jamaica Boa Buzzbait is pretty impressive. I've had the opportunity to fish this one and it's going to become popular with buzz bait fans once they get out in the open market.

That Buzzsaw Jr. is a great finesse buzz bait. My old stand by has always been the Lunker Lure

Re: Compact Jigs

I really enjoy compact jigs. My go to have been the Keitech Model 1 and Model 2. I've been fishing quite a few Queen Tackle Tungsten jigs lately since Tackle Trap started stocking them and they are outstanding. The Picasso Little Spotty Jig is another excellent compact jig... for a non-tungsten comp...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

Who is in charge over there of getting descriptions on their features written in english? This is the 2nd time I have been involved it pointing out something they had dead wrong and then getting it changed. The 1st time was their description of Magforce Z. A guy was trying to tell me that the induc...

It reads "Magforce magnetic braking system".
I read it, thanks. I've let them know... appreciate you pointing that out =D>

Already changed, how's that for service?

Re: New Daiwa reel?

Next time you speak with Daiwa you might want to let them know they royally screwed up. This is like launching a new performance car and telling everyone it has a weak POS engine in it by accident. Major screwup if true I can't read what you posted there but it wouldn't be the first time a company ...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

It has Magforce listed as the braking system. If this is accurate then it is indeed worse. Most of the Tatula demographic also hate the new thin knobs and is a downgrade in their eyes. I talk with a lot of folks about tackle on a regular basis. It hasn't been my experience that "most" of the Tatula...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

It is the old Tatula CT. They have removed Magforce Z from the reel by the description. Way worse than a Tatula 100. You get neither the 100 frame or Magforce Z. Daiwa: we took the Tatula CT from 2016 and made it worse. New for 2020! The 2020 Tatula CT TW does in fact have Magforce Z. It is based o...

Re: New Daiwa reel?

Honestly intrigued by the J-Fluoro Samurai, ranges from 2 to 25 lb test and made in Japan. I've been fishing with some of this since this past fall. Level wound, high quality stuff. I'm more excited about this particular product than anything else out of these releases. I have my bulk spool order i...

I have the Hustler Technical Tune - 701MH/HFB. It is absolutely amazing with a 1/2 oz jig.

Re: I don't use spinning gear at all. Do you?

I love spinning tackle and have a bunch of combos. My two favorites for bass are both Exist LT 3000CXH, one paired with Steez AGS 76MML, the other a Steez Racing Design 67ML+. When fishing a lighter shakey head or drop shot, spinning tackle just feels better to me than even perfectly capable casting...

Re: Megabass Destroyer OneTen

The F4.5-611 OneTen Special Thanks That model is a favorite among the current US Destroyer family. I've used it for everything from finesse single hook applications, top water baits, cranks, lighter spinner bait/vibrating jigs, and of course it handles the 110 nicely. The handle is shorter than you...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Gary, So the new 2020 SD vs. PREVIOUS MODEL SD From what I’m understanding based off what you said The PMSD has a faster action than this current 2020 SD ? Can you also please describe the the deeper flexing? Are you staying it’s more of a versatile action rather than a focused technique rod? Thank...
