Re: Finesse spinning rods.. What's your first choice?

Steez Racing Design 67ML+ Out of this world indeed... I love mine. Steez AGS 76MML is bar none my favorite spinning rod available in the US domestic market. Paired with Exist LT 3000CXH = :big grin: The new P5 Landsat is also a nicely versatile, super light, very sensitive spinning rod that is very...

Re: Addermine gone?

Supply chain issues have hit Megabass just like a lot of companies, especially on rods. There haven't been any XX Braillist available for months, and won't be for months. The Tackle Trap still has quite a few US Destroyer models in stock, including the popular FMJ, Valdiva, Daemos, and Javelin. If a...

That's great info! thank you.
You're welcome. I'm glad to help anytime and you're welcome to PM as well of course. I was feeling a bit nostalgic today having just gone through my entire I'ze Factory Personal Order collection one by one for the first time in a long time :D

Re: Certate LT weak bail issue?

My 2500 Certate snaps shut well, you might have a bent bail arm or crud in the bail arm mechanism? So does mine, works flawlessly and has from the beginning... Daiwa is still operating on a skeleton crew due to draconian restrictions in place out in the peoples republic so cut them a little slack :...

Re: Tell me about older Diawa Alphas, TD and other reels

I'm a fan of the older TD-Z platform in particular. It was way ahead of its time when it was introduced and is still highly regarded and used by many today. You can go up to a 7:1 in the TD-Z if you use left handed reels through a conversion kit offered by The Tackle Trap. I still have a bunch of th...

Re: Megabass Destroyer OneTen

Would love to hear comparisons of this rod to the P5 version. The P5 is a completely different animal than US Destroyer. It's much shorter and has a significantly slower action, but it loads and casts incredibly well and achieves excellent distance paired with both a Steez CT and a Steez SV TW. It'...

Gary, can you guys work on JDM Daiwa’s for a cost, since JDM reels aren’t warrantied by Daiwa US?
Yes sir. The Tackle Trap is one of very few Exist LT Certified service centers in the US and Bryan is happy to service or work on both US and JDM models.

Re: ALX ENOX rods

I'm curious as well. I work in aerospace composites and we use Toray materials often. I've only seen T1100G, which is a prepreg, and T1100S, which is a filament. I've seen nothing to indicate that T1100T exists, unless it's proprietary between ALX and Toray. That would be a good question for Alex o...

Re: ALX ENOX rods

What's the difference between the T and the G? My question as well?? I don't have the technical, engineering, material specific answer guys. I do have rods built on 1100G, Steez Racing Design for example. I have only the Enox with 1100T. There is a lot more that goes into a rod than just the blank,...

Re: ALX ENOX rods

They do NOT use T1100G, they use T1100T.

The ENOX blanks are very, very nice. They are by far the best made by ALX. I haven't fished the Strike yet, but it is intriguing. I have fished the LSB and BMJ and both are versatile, well made rods.

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?

Thanks for the answer guys. It feels like something scrubs internally , as you said. Should not be the case with such an expensive reel. I have already contacted Daiwa locally, and I will send it to them for repairs. Trout seasons ends in 12 days here. Should I avoid using the reel, and just send i...

Re: Daiwa Exist LT FC abrasion?

I have a few of the Exist LT US models, all of them are "perfect" even after quite a bit of use. The Tackle Trap is a Daiwa Exist Exclusive service center and none have been sent in with this type of problem.

Re: Tatula's got me confused...

All these Tatula models got me confused! Just wanted to make sure I pick the right one for my purposes. It will be going on a DX746 with 50lb braid. Primary baits: Flippin 1/2oz jigs, t-rigs and hollow body frogs. I would prefer a Tatula that can bomb frogs out there and double as a reliable flippi...

Send me a PM or email with the specific part numbers you'd like (G44-4444 format for example)... TT special orders parts for customers all the time and Daiwa typically ships our orders pretty quickly.
