Re: Need help locating Zillion TWS bumper

I don't know the part number for the purple bumper. I see numbers for a "plate (B)" J04-4502 J04-4503 J04-4505 J04-4506. If I could just locate a parts diagram for a Zillion TWS 100 XXS then maybe that manual would have the part number for the purple bumper. On Daiwa's site they do not have separat...

Power Versatile paired with a Z2020, and you will cast those rigs with ease.
I forgot to mention that I keep a Z200HL on my PV, that certainly does help

Re: umbrella rig rod

You're welcome! My only complaint about the Power Versatile as an umbrella rig rod is the short handle. It makes it a little tougher to really push a hard two handed cast, but the blank loads up so perfectly, I think it balances out. I've been throwing the Hog Farmer BFL rig with 1/8 oz heads on the...

Re: Need help locating Zillion TWS bumper

I want to pick up one the new Catalina TWS from TTT for use on my Hyuga 72H. I would need to locate the Daiwa factory purple parts for a Zillion TWS to replace the red parts on the Catalina. TTT only carries TD Zillion bumpers. I would like to find a right hand purple bumper. Shoot me an email with...

Is that sideplate aluminum?
Yes, aluminum. It's very solid.

Thanks for posting up the photos and info Tommy - enjoy the reel and appreciate the order!

Re: —Daiwa Catalina TW 4.9:1–

Does it have an aluminum or Zaion handle side plate? Aluminum. This reel is solid, smooth, and refined. I'm very impressed with it at this point. Here's some translated text from the Daiwa Japan site. ■ Robust super metal housing The handle side plate, main frame, and brake set plate are metalized.

Re: umbrella rig rod

Yes, the Mephisto works well up to about 2oz total weight. Other than the short handle, the Power Versatile is fantastic for a little heavier rigs.

Re: umbrella rig rod

Best high end umbrella rig rod? What is the total weight of the largest rig, largest heads, largest baits that you'll throw? Same question for the smallest. Some guys throw really big, heavy set ups 4 oz plus, but some other guys won't ever exceed 2 oz. total weight. There are a bunch of really nic...

Re: Daiwa Kage

Kage = Shadow These are among the most under rated rods I've ever seen, held, or fished and they are named appropriately. Fortunately, TT is a Daiwa Kage dealer so I've had the opportunity to check them out and fish some of them. The new UL series is a blast and the reels are sweet too! As is with t...

Re: Top Water rod for 1ozers

Some goofy a** suggestions here even with subjectivity thrown in   I've been throwing the I-Jack on the new Megabass Destroyer Wild Bunch Carbon Head, among other things. It handles 1 oz range top water baits very nicely. That Valkyrie 71H is an interesting option too... I know how much I...

Re: —Daiwa Catalina TW 4.9:1–

I've only had a little time on the water with the Catalina TW so far, but I have one each 7.3:1 and 4.9:1 in left hand. I paired the 7.3:1 with a Megabass F6-72X Wild Bunch Carbon Head, 20# Sunline Supernatural Mono, and a Hog Farmer BFL Rig. The reel holds plenty of line and the casting distance wa...

Re: Looking for a Frogging Rod

The Megabass XXX Mat Bucker and Destruction are both nice frog rods that aren't budget busters. They'll be back in stock next week... Both of them pair really nicely with either a Tatula SV TW or a Zillion SV TW. I really enjoy the Tatula SV TW, but for distance, I prefer the Zillion SV TW. Would y...

Re: Sensitive Moving Bait Rods

My opinion is to go with as sensitive a rod you can afford for any technique you normally use as it will make you more efficient on the water. So what’s your opinion on this subject? I am 100% in agreement with this. One of my favorite moving bait rods is the Steez AGS 72MHRB. It's incredibly versa...
