Re: New Tatula Elite Reel

Hm, they're saying its a lighter spool than the normal 100, but not SV. And the P/F version seems to be shallower and ported so I'm assuming it's lighter still? The Tatula Elite P/F spool shows 15g on the pre-release literature. The Tatula Elite Long Cast shows 14g. Another important note about the...

Re: USDM Black Labels

I can tell you that the 74MHRB paired with a Tatula Elite Long Cast and a Shower Blow makes for some very long casts  I like the BLX rods and have been impressed with the models I've fished. We'll have them in stock soon :D

Ok I’ve got two zpi spools of the same color
One is a pg and the other an m, but I can’t tell the difference
Is there a way to differentiate between the two
The PG is noticeably deeper than the M.

Thanks Gary! Of course, I already have the Faust...
You're welcome! The Faust is a fine rod and I know several guys who really like theirs, but in terms of the "it" factor, it just didn't have it for me.

Re: Rods with the 'it' Factor

Gary, how does the Wild Bunch compare to the Faust? The Faust has a "broom stick" feel in my hands. It's noticeably more stout and powerful with a much less forgiving action all the way to the tip. The Wild Bunch has a much more flexible upper section that loads with more ease and fluidity. While t...

Re: Rods with the 'it' Factor

Just ordered the Wild Bunch this morning. Looks beautiful and sounds like it is exactly what i'm looking for. Thank you! It will ship today. Please post your thoughts on the rod when you get some time with it... I think you'll be happy :D How does the Hein compare with the Addermine in power and ta...

I’ve been digging the MB Wild Bunch too Gary! It’s my favorite rod for t-rigs / medium jigs. That Carbon Head Hein is next! Going to pair it up with my Steez CT... Re: Looking to add new rod...can't decide

You may consider adding the new Megabass JDM Destroyer Carbon Head Wild Bunch to the candidate list. I just recently got mine and it's exactly that - a highly versatile, heavy powered rod with excellent sensitivity. I've thrown the I-Jack (1 oz) on it and it handled it well and could easily handle l...

Re: Rods with the 'it' Factor

I'll chime in on a few favorites of mine currently in production along with the reel in use... Steez 76MML-AGS/Exist LT 3000-CXH - This one of the best do it all spinning rods of all time, no doubt, just amazing for me. Steez 71MH-AGS - paired with a Steez CT presently and a joy for t-rigs, lighter ...

Re: **Say it ain't so**

Interesting correlation between the "juiced" era of MLB and this situation Cristo. Growing up, some of those "juiced" guys were my heroes. It certainly does have an impact when those you've admired turn out to be cheaters. I haven't followed this situation closely, but read somewhere that the Diamon...

Re: Shimano Exsence vs Daiwa Certate LT

Gary did you try Exist on Flyssa? Which one balance better Exist or Certate? Adam Hi Adam - I've fished both the Exist LT 3000-CXH and Certate LT 2500-XH on Flyssa - the Certate is a little bit better balanced on the 7'6" rod, but the difference isn't terribly significant. I didn't measure, but the...
