St.Croix Legend Xtreme
Anyone using these rods. Can't find a lot of info. on them but with the cost of these being what it is I guess that's understandable. In the spirit of "you get what you pay for" I've been looking for an ultra sensitive high-end jig rod and was wondering if these are on par or better than NRX rods in ...

Re: JDM tackle shop.
I wasn't aware they sold used rods. I went and found them. Thanks for that. I would like to pick up an EG Heracles Leopard for chatter bait fishing this spring. I really didn't want to pay for a new one.I've got about 7 pages of used and on-sale rods to look through now.Fingers crossed. I e mailed th...

Anyone have experience ordering from JDM Tackle Heaven? I messaged them on their site and was directed to their FB page.I messaged them there(Thursday) and haven't heard back. I wonder if they are closed or just extremely busy at the moment.

Re: Swimbait reel
I prefer a 300 sized reel myself, but there's an argument for 400 sized reels. Some of the hardcore guys prefer a 400 sized reel for a more consistent line pick up. If you're looking at the tranx, definitely look at the 5.8:1 as opposed to the 7.6:1. The 300/400 5.8 gets 30ipt (inch per turn) while...

Re: Swimbait reel
Nice toad Cal. So is that the 8.4 that is currently being offer at Tackletrap? If so, does that start to wear on you throwing a 5 oz bait all day? I think I'm going to go with the Train this time around and shoot the wad on the Z for my next combo. Would look pretty sweet on an LDC. Drakestar,do you...

Re: Swimbait reel
Thanks guys.I'm going to take a closer look at the Shrapnel and Ryoga.I've been using 2 Daiwa Catalina's I got from TT when they where blowing them out. I opted for the 4.9:1. I'm kicking myself for not getting the 7.1's  They just aren't that efficient for moving and twitching baits, Cal,thank...

Swimbait reel
Not a lot of activity on this forum lately so I hope I can get some feedback. I'm looking for a good reel to throw DEPS 250's and other bigger glide baits. What reel and gear ration do you guys like ? Since I may not find or want to spend the coin on the Daiwa Z200HL or Z2020HL I'm leaning toward th...

Daiwa Z200HL
Anyone know where the best place to source a Daiwa Z200HL ? They are supposed to be for the American market but I don't see them available anywhere.
I can't even find the Z2020HL on any JP sites.

Re: DRT baits ?
Since my original posting I have been able to acquire a new Tiny Klash as well as a slightly used K9. Yes,I paid twice what they MSRP for but I've been looking and looking and that's actually a good price when you see what some are going for. They say the TK is one of the best cold water baits to ha...

HMMM. No clue on the questions. Glad it wasn't for one of your 175 BB Trouts as that would have broke my heart.haha
Anyway that's a nice gesture and in the spirit of giving for the Holidays. Hope you get/got a worthy recipient.

DRT baits ?
What would be my best chance of aquiering a DRT (Division Rebel Tackle) Klash 9 ? Do they do a lure drop like some of the domestic swimbait makers here? Do you need to keep checking the JDM tackle sites? I keep an eye out on SU's black market but they seem few and far between. Just like to know wher...
