Wonder how that bait would work in saltwater. About "pinfish" size, Back Bay or beach fishing. No floating crud either.

Things like this happen (unfortunately). With winter coming, sounds like a good indoor project to fashion one your self. Since you have another as a template, find something close in size in your collection of "screws, nuts and fasteners" and grab a small file and "give it a go"....

Great news. Absolutely loved the prototype at last years show. This one looks like great (and am glad they stuck with the wood over a CF trim). Hoping when reel is mounted there won't be any of the reel seat threads exposed. This rod should be "killer" on the water.

Appearance-wise reminds me of the MB Frog Game Special.

Only thing I can figure that perhaps the rods at Gander Mountain were damaged in some way. If the rod blanks at nicked or in anyway compromised, they could fail on first time out hooks sets. That's the reason 13FIshing offers a free replacement if the rod breaks when first used (manufacturer defect ...

If I recall Shimano will not swap to Daiwa. The handle hole is too small. Been a while since I played with swaps. Could be wrong.

Man, am I ever glad to hear someone else say it. I kept running back to the Daiwa booth and handling the Tatula and new Zillion and asking myself "what's the difference (other than the price?). Memory fades but recall one having a slightly feeler spool while the other had a freer handle rotatio...
