Re: strangest things you ever caught
Although there were no blood stains or bones to possibly be a sign, there was a foul odor however more than likely it was from the mud.

Re: strangest things you ever caught
I was fishing Lake Mead before and happened to reel in a shoe. Kinda scary though, who knows if there was a foot in it and I pulled it off or something.

Re: strangest things you ever caught
It was the best catch I had that whole day, and better yet it gave the best fight Ive had in a while.

Re: strangest things you ever caught
I caught a tire star/iron one time. I was using a RatLTrap. Perfect condition Chrome Plating still in tact and no rust not even in the sockets.

Re: EVERY ONES FAVORITE SOFT PLASTIC
My favorites are going to have to be a new Senko Kinami came out with. Its very similar to a Camo bait. Although on Havasu everything plastic usually has to be smaller so I also like Daiquri tube baits. Swimming them, not jigging.

Re: STRIPER FISHING
Skeet Reese was doing a show the other day on Outdoor Channel that was filmed on Lake Havasu. He used a few key baits. Staysee's and Pointer's both in Chartruese Shad. He started with Table Rock shad and received very few bites. However once he changed to the Chartruese Shad, the bite was awesome. H...

If you follow that link, you should be able to find a link to a photo album loaded with fishing pictures and other pictures. The larger fish arent on there quite yet.

Re: STRIPER FISHING
Well, this past weekend I went back out in pursuit of Stripers and stopped counting at 41 fish. They were of nice size with the largest one at 8.92 lbs on a Pointer 100. It shocked the hell out of me since we were trolling and he opted for the smaller bait. It was definitely a late bite that day. We...

Re: STRIPER FISHING
The Largemouth hit more often on the Pointer 78DD. The size of the 128 is just to large for them, although dont get me wrong as I did catch a largemouth while using the lure. When using the lure, I try with several different retrieves. I most often catch them on a nice steady slow retrieve with a ba...

Re: Any So Cal fisherman here???
I have fished Perris as I did live there for 9 years, however the fish there are very odd. I have had a few good experiences there... however... I was in an instance where a dead body floated up nearly 150-200 yds. from where I was flipping. IT wasnt too fun. The only reason we knew what happened, w...

Re: STRIPER FISHING
The main lure I use is a Lucky Craft Pointer 128 (chartruese shad). This lure is both casted and trolled. My dad used a Pointer 100 which is the same lure but smaller and my lure was hit more than his. The largest fish I have pulled was 7 1/2 lbs. The water I am fishing is Lake Havasu which is on th...

Re: Who fishes Bass Tournaments?
I personally would start with a Draw tournament. Depending on where you live you might be able to do the Western Outdoor News tournaments... my first was an observer... which you pay nothing and whatever you catch go to the pro and you win nothing... It is a great thing to do for the experience...Ho...

STRIPER FISHING
Bass fishing on Lake Havasu has slowed a lot...however the stripers are hitting like crazy. Thanksgiving afternoon I caught 36 stripers over 2 lbs in 2 1/2 hours in one spot... Now December 26 i had to break in some new rods and reels so I decided to do it striper fishing and caught 51 striper and 1...

Re: Bass
Check out those Peacock Bass sometime online... The coloration and body shape/design is definitely odd. Youll know why they got the name "peacock" bass.
