Costa Del Mar Sunglasses - Fogging

I'm going to purchase a pair of Costa Wave 580s soon and am in the process of selecting possible frame choices. So far I've selected the Caballito, Corbina, Fantail, and Blackfin. I'm curious if any of you own frames that have the 3 port holes on each side for air flow - Tuna Alley, Cat Cay, Permit,...

Re: Best rod sleeve/protection for shore fishing?

Thanks for the responses everyone. I think I like the corkscrew rod holder or maybe something similar to the surf fishing rod holder. Much easier to access the rod compared to a cover. All I want is something that is easy to insert into the ground.

Re: Owner Twistlock hooks

How does the wire thickness of the Twistlock Light compare to the standard Gamakatsu EWG?

Best rod sleeve/protection for shore fishing?

I want to take a couple of rods with me when fishing from shore, but have yet to do so because I don't have anything to protect the rod not being used. The areas I fish usually don't have anywhere to prop the second rod up so I want to get a rod sleeve/protector. I have a backpack so I would rest th...

Owner Twistlock hooks

Looking at picking up either the Twistlock Open Gap or Twistlock Light for 5-6" Senkos. I use heavier line, either 16-20lb fluoro or 15lb CXX. Will the Twistlock Light, which was created by GY for Senkos, suffice or would I be better off with the heavier gauge Open Gap? http://www.tacklewarehouse.co...

Treble hooks

Looking for some replacement treble hooks for various lures and wanted to see what you guys think of the Owner ST-36 vs the Gamakatsu Magic Eye Short Shank Round Bend.

Costa Del Mar Wave 580G lens color?

I'm torn between green mirror and silver mirror as an all-around lens. I figure with the silver mirror being out for a while now there will me more input on which one you guys prefer.

Re: Simms SunGaitor question

Was about to pull the trigger on a Sun Gaiter but now will wait for replies. Already have the Buff and it fogs up.....but I just pull it down over my nose for a moment and clears up. But I ALWAYS put sunscreen on my NOSE!! Best sunscreen I've found (and I've researched it a LOT) L'Oreal Ombrelle Co...

Re: T3 spool.......

I'm interested in this spool as well. I'm considering one for a TDZ, which will be used for jerkbaits. I'd appreciate feedback from those that have used this spool in a TDZ.

Re: Performance rainwear

I wear an Arc'teryx GORE-TEX rain shell. Price was similar to the Simms ProDry. It's about five years old and was made in Canada (better quality) as opposed to the current line being manufactured in China.

Re: Simms SunGaitor question

I ordered another SunGaiter from a tackle shop that had the older model. Now I have both to compare. The older model doesn't look like the photo (first pic above) on the Simms' site either. The breathing holes form a circle rather than the grid-like shape shown above. It has a more snug fit and is s...

Megabass Ito Vision 110 pricing

Is there any truth to Megabass lowering the price of the Vision 110 to $19.99? I remember reading it somewhere here.

Is the Type R star drag just an aesthetic upgrade or does it affect the drag?

Re: Best fishing knot (from line to hook)

I was a 100% palomar guy until recently. Now I'm experimenting with a few different knots for fluoro and braid, specifically the doubled uni (aka doubled uni slip knot), double san diego jam knnot, and shaw grigbsy knot. I may still stick with the palomar for coply.
