Steez 103 vs Steez 100

Has anyone compared the new steez to the original? What is the difference in casting of the new deep spool steez?

Anyone?

Re: Megabass Warning

It is hard to consider megabass JDM when you can go down to the local Bass Pro Shop and pick up their baits.

Megabass is a massed produced sell-out to the all mighty dollar.. a real far cry from what they once where.

Re: gblank vs. powell or kistler

Go with the Kistler 69MH APC LTA. One of the best all purpose rods made!

Re: Conquest 50 VS Calcutta 50?

Performance affecting differences: Conquest - 11 ball bearings, 6.2:1 gear ratio, 7.2 oz, wiffle spool. Calcutta - 3 ball bearings, 5:1 gear ratio, 7.9 oz, solid arbor spool. Those factors make a difference in performance to me. Plus, my Conquests just cast a lot better, and are really a great litt...

Conquest 50 VS Calcutta 50?

Other than looks are their any performance differences between the two? I've search the boards and it seems that some say the conquest is a little better, but then others say the performance is the same.

Re: My intro & Looking for good all purpose baitcast set

The Kistler LTA is a good choice. Lots of guys here seem to like them. If you want to save a few dollars and get a rod that is just as nice then the Mag TS series in a 6'9'' length would be a really nice option. Just get whatever reel you feel comfortable with.

Re: My thoughts on the 7'1" steez and Loomis 7'1"

Oh didnt know that. What type of graphite blanks do they use for their worm rods? They use the green painted GLX on their Jig and Worm rods. However, they have an extra fast action and are not available to custom rod builders. You can only buy the rod (BCR GLX's) They also use GLX blanks in their M...

no.. I just didn't care for the BCR803 GLX
I bet it wasn't due to a lack of sensitivity. ;)

Re: New G Loomis Rods!!!!!

Nope. This is because the rods come in mulitple pieces, hince that is why they come with the rod sock. Since most of the bass rods do not come in 2 (or more) pieces they don't come with the socks.

Re: Diablo SB review.

TackleTour Cal,

If you like the Bearing Down, you should try the BCR803 GLX. It is much more sensitive than the bearing down that i had. In fact, the GLX and my 7' MH Legend Elite are both more sensitive than any megabass ive fished.

Re: New G Loomis Rods!!!!!

Loomis uses Fuji guides and reelseats and they've been using them for as long as I can remember. They haven't changed a whole lot because they make one of the finest rods on the planet. If it ain't broke, then why would they go around and try to fix it? Certain models do in fact come with rod socks ...

Re: line suggestions

Sunline is old news. I made a post about it a few months back. It broke very easily and didn't handle well at all. As you said, it's garbage.

I really like Sufix Promix for jigs and plastics. 14lb test is what i use.
