Re: The search for one (Lipless) Megabass Orochi xx EMTF vs Destroyer Javelin
Update: Spent the day yesterday throwing lipless cranks on the javelin. If you have the chance to get one, do it. It’s an awesome rod for lipless cranks in vegetation. Seems a half power heavier than the g2 Levante EMTF. Really handled it well.

Re: The search for one (Lipless) Megabass Orochi xx EMTF vs Destroyer Javelin
Wow. I just purchased a javelin and a Gen 2 Levante EMTF. I had a chance to use the EMTF for lipless. It’s a hair squishy for medium-medheavy vegetation. I used the javelin for chatterbaits and it was awesome. I’ll let you know how it handles a lipless. For what it’s worth, the best rod I ever used ...

Poison Adrena 7’3” MH feedback
Hi all. I was hoping to get some feedback from folks using the new Poison Adrena PAD173MHA. I’m curious how the sensitivity is. Thanks.
Re: Phenix k2
I’ve had one for several years. I love it for 1/8-1/4 Texas rigs in the deep, clear spotted bass reservoirs here in Northern California. I really haven’t used it for anything else. I use the 713 for bait finesse - ned rigs, light t-rigs. For what it’s worth - My favorite k2 is the 736. Love using it...

Shout out to Megabass USA
I had an Orochi XX (Gen 2) EMTF that needed warranty replacement. The glue on the reel seat had failed and began twisting. I began the warranty process with MBUSA, within minutes I had a response. I provided all the details and sent in my rod. Within a day of their receipt, I have a tracking number ...

So my best bet is probably trying to get aldebaran 50MGL HG gears?Bantam1 wrote:As far as I know they will not directly swap. I will double check today, but I know there are some other differences on the BFS model compared to the MGL model.

Shimano Aldebaran 50 gear swap?
Can anyone tell me if Shimano can sell me an 8:1 Gear set, say from an Aldebaran BFS, to swap out the 6.5:1 gears from USDM Aldebaran 50?

Try the new Phenix k2 736. Not sure if it's on their website yet, but I do know the production version is available.

Re: Foul Weather Gear - Simms, Gill, Cabelas Guidewear or what?
I've got a Frogg Toggs Pilot suit. At 250 ish total, it's a very nice suit. It's a few years old, and I've used in steady rain all day and have walked away mostly dry. A little leakage around my knees when kneeling and culling fish, but overall a great buy.

Re: Vanquish...worth the price?
I picked up a 2500XGS last year. It's nice. Love it. but for the money, I think the stradic ci4+ is a better buy. If budget is a concern look to the stradic ci4+. if you're looking to treat yourself, Vanquish.

QUESTION: Daiwa Tatula/Zillion TWS -> Braid -> Fluoro Topshot
Hey all. Anyone have trouble topshotting fluorocarbon to braid with the Tatula/Zillion SV TWS reels? I notice the line guide is fairly narrow. Was curious before I spool up for spring.
I'm looking at spooling up with 30# J-Braid x4 to 15# FC

Re: Phenix Bass Recon?
I’m not familiar with the Dobyns Champ Extreme, but I think it’s their flagship rod. I have used the recons plenty. I have a 762 spinner (Recon 2) that is currently a dedicated float n fly rod. It’s pretty nice. I’ve used it for flick shakes, spy baits, and light under spins. For Ned rigging, and de...

Re: Stella or vanquish
I've got a Stella c2000s and a Vanquish 2500XGS. If you're paying retail site prices, get the Vanquish. While the stella is more refined, I don't think it warrants the $300 price increase. If you're able to get it cheaper, then yes - Stella!!! If money is not a big concern of course, Stella wins han...
