Re: 12# sniper?

I had a few mysterious breakoffs with Assassin last year (reviews say it has bad abrasion resistance) so I'm all in on Sniper now. Never had an issue with it and I fish it in 6 (leader line for spinning rod) 10 (jerkbaits), 12 (cranks and some light bottom contact) and 16lb (jigs and heavier texas r...

Re: Best lipless crankbait in da business

Another vote for jackall tn - rock them in 50, 60, and 65 sizes. Seem to have the most success with the normal version and still very good success with the FT. Anyone using the trigon version and able to compare? The LV500 is phenomenal too; I just wish they had a smaller version for finesse-ier/sh...

Re: Reel Pairing for MB Destroyer Javelin

I have fished a Steez A on mine quite a bit and really enjoy that combo. I put a Tatula Elite Long Cast on it and even though it isn't really a "high end" reel, it is an an awesome match for the Javelin. Funny that you mention the Tatula Elite, because I was thinking of doing just this. I'm more a ...

Reel Pairing for MB Destroyer Javelin

Any suggestions on a high end reel to go with the javelin? Think I read somewhere people mentioned ideally you’d want a 7oz+ reel. My first thought was to put one of the new metaniums on when they come out. Not sure if that would be the best fit though. What does everyone think? Will be going with a...

Re: Best lipless crankbait in da business

Cotton Cordell Super Spot or Red Eye Shad are my favorites. Yeah ihave a bunch of those but i want to try something more high end this time like megabass or duo realis lipless cranks Jackall TN or LC LV 500. If burning above shallow grass the LV may be too heavy. I have some of the duo lipless but ...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Those are new additions to the Japan series Destroyers. There has not been a decision made yet as per them being added to US catalogor not. If it is decided to do so I will post it on this thread. A shame if they are not. Would love to have The Dark Sleeper and another model or 2. Any word on relea...

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

I too saw it on THUT's instagram, those instagram story videos disappear after 24hrs or something. There is a new Destroyer being debuted at the Osaka show. New blank, "5-D graphite". This is all I could find on it https://www.lurenewsr.com/84753/ Those are new additions to the Japan series Destroy...

Re: New Shower Blows?

Yes, new smaller size. I guess they are coming out with new patterns as well. Personally not sure if a smaller size is needed? I don't like going down to 2 hooks vs 3.

Re: Sunline Super Natural

I like it but as otherwise stated you need to go up in LB test rating. I normally throw 10 or 12lb mono (Trilene XL) and I had to go up to 14lb super natural. Good line for the money as long as you are aware of the diameter vs pound test rating compared to other lines.

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

I watched another video that stated they are due out this summer. I was getting ready to buy a Javelin but now I may wait for the new line to come out. They apparently feature new graphite called "5-D" which is supposed to be lighter and stronger than the current line.

Re: New Megabass Destroyers

Yes, saw it on THUT instagram story. I also noticed one looks to be a chris zaldain signature model with some sort of carbon fiber grip. Hopefully M Perry will see this post and can give us some more detail as to if they are coming stateside and if so, when. They have some cool new lures too; a smal...

New Megabass Destroyers

Saw a post last night regarding a new destroyer release out of Japan. Wondering if/when they will make it stateside? Everyone hide your wallets

Re: Expride A vs Orochi XX (2018)

It's more expensive and longer than you're looking for, but a lot of people like the 6'11 One Ten Special MB Destroyer for a jerkbait rod with a faster tip. I have a Dobyns 704CB (bit slower - rarely if ever lose fish) but been using my 6'11 M+ poison adrena for jerkbaits lately. It's got a tad too ...

Re: Go to jigs for largemouth

Anyone that fishes grass lakes, you need to check out the Nichols JT's Grass Wizard jigs. They come through weeds about as well as a texas rig. I was really impressed with them last year. They also catch bigger fish on average vs the texas rig.
