Re: New Poison Adrena

For those who have or have tried the 7'2" Heavy... do you think the action is right for it to be a heavier jig, flipping/punching, and frog rod? I don't need an ultra stout punching rod. Thinking it could be good for 1/2oz and 3/4oz jigs, up to a 1oz tungsten for punching. My Helium3 7'H seems like...

Re: Sunline Xplasma Asegai

I just ordered the 30lb for one of my metaniums. I wanted the powerpro super slick v2 but they were sold out of my size/color preference. Figured I’d give the Sunline a try since I love their other lines. Will try to report back in a month or so. Any updates on the Xplasma? Yes I can provide an upd...

Re: TackleDirect Problems?

I contacted them two months ago to get the ETA of a rod before purchasing. They told me even if they had it in stock it would take 2+ weeks to ship because they were in the process of either updating or changing their warehouse (can't remember which). This might help explain what's going on. I ended...

Re: Best wake baits / waking cranks?

Please provide updates on the Duo bait. :D I got a chance to fish these yesterday. I was throwing them on my poisona adrena medium +. They are very light - I think they are rated at 1/4oz but may be just below that. If you're looking to cover a lot of water they may not be the best option. I didn't...

Re: must have megabass rods?

The FMJ has become one of my favorite rods, if not my favorite. I was never a big jig/t-rig fisherman before getting this rod but now I find it very enjoyable. Once you pick it up it's hard to put down. I paired it with a Steez A TW on the recommendation of this forum and it's perfectly balanced. An...

Re: Best wake baits / waking cranks?

Deps Buzzjet reeled pretty slow. Exciting! \:D/ I never get aggressive strikes on the buzzjet, they usually just gulp it off the surface. I think I've only caught 1 or 2 fish below 2lbs on that bait. I won't get the Duo Kabuki baits until next week but I'll report back after throwing them. I rememb...

Re: Best wake baits / waking cranks?

My favorite, and what I consider the best is the Mann's Waker. The 1 Minus is good but it will dive deep unless you slow it down, the Waker can be reeled fast and still produce a wake and it doesn't blow out at high speed like others. The Arashi wake crank is ok but you have to reel it slow or it b...

Best wake baits / waking cranks?

What's your favorite wake bait and/or waking crank? I recently started fishing a new lake with plenty of grass and have been using these more. I had a nice 3.5lber last night on a buzzjet and a similar sized fish the week before on a megabass funky flipper. Mann's 1 minus and baby 1 minus seems to b...

Re: New Poison Adrena

I got a chance to put this rod through it's paces yesterday and I have to report it is everything I had hoped for. Being primarily a kayak fisherman I can only bring a limited amount of rods, and the 6'11 Medium + is a big asset due to it's versatility. I started the day fishing a 10" worm on a 3/16...

Re: RaGe vs. Spicy beaver

I fished the spicy beaver over the weekend. It was a good weapon for pitching weeds with a pegged 3/8oz bullet weight. I caught a bunch of fish and they were inhaling it. I never tried anything else in comparison as I didn't need to change. I'm now a fan and ordered a couple more packs.

Re: New Poison Adrena

Oops...someone put some guides on backwards  Not sure if it applies to the series you purchased. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/information/?p=30133 I believe those are the JDM models. US are 1 piece. I called jackall and they told me the double foots are supposed to be vertical with the remaini...

I noticed that on the TW picture. K guides are supposed to be sloped forward, but that stripper guide definitely isn't. It also says they're semi micros, but they don't look it to me.
Outside of the first 3 guides from the butt they look to be semi micro

Re: New Poison Adrena

I just got mine in yesterday and will fish it this weekend. I always check guide alignment and integrity on a new rod. One thing I noticed on the adrena is the first 4 guides from the butt are at a 90 degree angle and the last 6 going to the tip are angled forward. Seems to me that it's either one o...

Re: Favorite finesse jig trailers

I just picked up one of those tiny keitech guard spin jigs in 1/8oz. Thing is really tiny, not sure what to put on the back of it. Even TRD Craw is too big (it's bigger than the jig itself). Maybe the last 2" of a straight tail worm
