Re: New Daiwa Exist LT FC 1000S
Let's hope so. I would be very keen for anything ultra or light in either 6'8", 6'10 or 7'0, 7'2. Just my personal preference in lengths though...... This is Tony in Chicago. I had been asking Northfork/Edge the same for the past few years, hopefully they'll come out with a few panfish/trout blanks...

Re: New Daiwa Exist LT FC 1000S
I read that the new Exist LT FC JDM models don't come with the full Mag Seal, the FC model excludes the Mag Seal line roller and both Mag Seal side plates. Where did you get this info? From PLAT when I was inquiring about the Exist, also another video by a vendor in JP. Based on the information I w...

Re: Daiwa Exist 18
Made out of treated magnesium 1 piece frame with a larger main gearing. I do a lot of wading on the rivers I fish and after a few outings my line roller would acted up. I started looking for a new reel and the Exist seem to have what I was looking for until I heard about the FC models. I decided to ...

NorthFork Composite HMX
Has anyone purchased the new series of blanks to give some feedback? I believe they only made 6 blanks to select from for now.

Re: Matagi vendor?
I never had a problem ordering from Matagi directly. I would send an email with a list of the items I would need, and Mamoru would send me a reply with an invoice. When I build my rods I would normally order the Fuji guide sets from Matagi as they carry the correct sets for micro, KL, YSG, and other...

Re: In search of a rod to drift live minnow.
Thanks Daiwa Lunatic and Mattman for the information on the fly rod specifications. Looking online for the older 2 peice St Croix Legend Ultra fly rod. Also thank you Bigreddog. I did not know Gary Loomis made the Edge rods. With the Str 862-2 (IM), does the (IM) stands for the IMX series? This rod ...

Re: In search of a rod to drift live minnow.
Your suggestion of using a fly blank seems to be interesting. You had mention using 9 weight for your rod, which fly rod weight would get me into a light to med-light for 4 to 6lb for 1/8 to 1/4 lure weight?
Thanks for your reply Daiwa Lunatic.

In search of a rod to drift live minnow.
In search for another rod to use wading in the rivers. Looking for a spinning rod in 8' to 9', light to med-light, 4 to 6lb line. I would be using this rod to fish live minnow drifting, setup with small split-shot weights. The rod I am currently looking at online is the St Croix Legend Tournament Wa...

Isaac Ortiz : Feedback Request Topic
I just received my Exist Steez 2004 from Isaac Ortiz in Hesperia,CA who I met here in TT. I was excited to receive the reel this evening and when I brought it out of the box and turned the handle I felt this vibration feeling in the gearing. I texted Isaac right away and all he said was it works fin...

Re: Reel Paint?
I purchased an used TD-Ito some time ago for a fairly low price. The top of the reel where the 4 ports are located was touched up with paint and started to peel. I've asked a few people on this site to see if they can help me with repainting the reel, but unfortunately no help, I didn't hear back fr...

Re: Megabass Tomahawk series.
Hi Lobinaking, I'm very sorry to hear about the unfortunate outcome of your MB Kaede. Thanks for your feedback. The decision is made the Shiryu will be cranking rod. I'm taking a big gamble when it comes to purchasing any brand of JDM rods. It's one of thoses things that I have to try out, even if t...

Megabass Tomahawk series.
Has any member on this site purchased the Megabass Tomahawk, GTC series cranking rods? Please share your thoughts on this rod. I'm curious to know about their performance, and how does it compare to the GT3 Shiryu. Speaking with Masaki at Megabass USA, he believes the GTC fits more of an all-around ...

Re: guide question on megabass rods
I didn't think you were doubting me, just seeking a second opinion. To me it simply justifies the cost and the reasoning of buying a JDM. For now I'm sold on JDM rods, it's quite breath taking the craftmanship they put into their rods. Your probably going to run into the concern about the warranty. ...
