Re: What have you lost while fishing?
megabass mat bucker/gan craft mago
fenwick technics av/jdm crazy cranker
rapala digital scale
boga grips 30lb
numerous $100+ baits
all in the same lake
i did lose a tulala monstrou 75/pluton combo, but got it back thankfully through use of an aquaview camera and arig snag.

i wouldn't see it as being effective as a moving bait rod. its perfect as a bottom contact rod. one of my top 2 mb rods ever.

Re: DRT Varial Handle
spare knobs only come as the knobs themselves, not the hardware to mount on the posts. so you have to already have a handle (it comes with a set of knobs) for you to be able to use any of the other spare color knobs. the handle is awesome, i have the 100mm for my pluton 200sh. bulletproof. i dont ha...

Re: Single Finest JDM Reel?
i would have to say out of all the jdm reels ive owned, it would have to be the evergreen opus-1. just pure joy and a total statement of the direction and values of evergreen in every aspect. packaging, looks, feel, mechanicals, performance. for me, it hasnt been matched, even by the top products fr...

Re: *Suggestions for "enthusiast" finesse/drop shot rod in 2
i think the ultimate dropshot rod ive ever fished was the bait breath evola. way out of production now, but it was the ultimate in every way for its time. wish i never sold it tbh. next to that it was my bearing down type x. still toying with the idea of trying to find another one of each.

Re: Megabass Magdraft?
in cold water (40-46) the action seems to be muted, like the plastic has stiffened up. a few times when slow slow rolling it i could see the tail didnt even move. ill let you know more when the water is warmer.

Re: TopwaterCult
5ft graphite construction made by Robelson, medium power, medium slow taper, lure weight 1/2 to 1oz
I'm very impressed. It's not a whippy rod in the least. Casts a 1oz lure just about as far as some of my high dollar long rod/reel setups.

TopwaterCult
I've been looking for a few years for a jdm style topwater setup to throw all my crazy jdm topwater lures I've collected, and finally pulled the trigger on one. My first one is pretty understated, no crazy colored Toy Machine or Isuzu reel this time, but a pure classic Don Iovino tuned Abu Garcia 46...

Re: Three rods to rule them all
three rods for me are based on my current techniques that im enjoying dropshotting is with my Megabass F5st-611X7 Bearing Down Type X. i fish my dropshot in laydowns and it is the perfect rod for it. the tip is perfect for casting and it is uber sensitive, and it has the backbone to get those big gi...

Re: Must buys rods from Evergreen
i have to say your must buys from Megabass are much different than mine (bearing down type X, srd, go ten evolution) as are your choices from Evergreen for the most part. i agree with the heracles leopard. id get the heracles pro guidance68 and the inspirare stingray wild finesse. the tech that went...
