Re: Calais or Core gears in a Chronarch D???

The Calais gears will not work, but the Core 100 series gears will.

You will need the main gear, the pinion gear, key washer and the main gear drag washer..

what are you looking to do change gear ratio, switch to aluminum gears?

Re: Reflective paint on DC spool

hello, is the DC braking system still working properly? if it is still working ok and you are just worried about what you did, then i would just leave it be and forget it... however, here is a reflective spray paint by Duplicolor: http://www.duplicolor.com/products/niteLites/ you can probably spray ...

Re: what's your guys favorite walk the dog bait?

i have always found Heddon topwater baits very easy to walk such as the excalibur, spit n image, zara spook.. etc
i usually use a loomis cbr721 but i also enjoy using light to medium weight spinning gear as well. 6'0" - 6'6"

Re: Is this right?

this is the washer you need, it only comes with certain bassart handle kits (usually the conquest kit) it is keyed to fit the handle shaft and is about 1/8" thick aluminum, it spaces the handle out for extra clearance from the drag star. http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/m640/quickF4i/washer1.jpg ...

Re: Shimano Chronarch 50 Mg

When you say the handle has play back and forth do you mean it has backplay?? Or do you mean it has a little movement inward / outward going into the sideplate? The Chron Mg already has a bearing on the handle shaft...

Re: Breaking in a few new combos on Falcon

can you be more specific on how the NRX guide broke out of the thread wrap?

if the rod didn't see any action i dont understand how that could happen... i am just curious i have a couple of NRX rods and the quality control seems to always be a hot topic on this board..

Re: where do i buy these knobs?

these also look very similar to shimano jdm factory cardiff DC knobs.. you might be able to get them via one of the above listed vendors directly from shimano. only difference i can see is those knobs appear to be pressed cork bits and the shimano knobs are layered cork rings, but the shape is right...

Re: Curado201e7: The devastating Line Guide BNT3922

hello, i do not work for shimano, but i also had concerns about the line guide on this reel when it first came out, it seemed very cheaply constructed and flimsy, it moves around a lot and did not fit the worm gear very precisely...however it never really gave me a problem while fishing, esp using b...

Re: slightly quicker and lighter chronarch 51e

Awesome! You didn't need to put in a new pinion gear?? You only put in a new Core aluminum main gear and married it to the stock brass 50E pinion gear?? I ask because I am going to try this myself based on your post and will order parts soon. yes i apologize i did change to the core pinion gear.. i...
