It's pretty easy to swap out the driveshaft bushing on the CU200D for a bearing. I've done it to mine but it's been awhile and I forget the part numbers.

I use a CU200DHSV to throw frogs all day. It's big but rock solid.

Ditto. Not as good as the Compre or Crucial but at that price .........

I also have the 6'6" casting model and consider it an excellent rod for weightless 5" Senkos.

Looks like Cabela's has the 1000, 2500, and 4000 sizes in stock.

I'll take the other position. I had one and tried to use it for Senkos - no good, way too stiff. Switched to the CRC-D66M & CRC-D70M for Senkos and love them. Tried spinnerbaits on it - didn't like it. And mind you, I love the Crucial line of rods. Ended up trading it in.

I use the Shimano Crucial 6 1/2 foot drop shot rod (CRC-D66M) for weightless Senkos and it's a beautiful thing!!! Light as a feather with the 50 Mg.

913 which is 301 Green pumpkin w/green & purple and a chartruese tail, but it has to be the old core shot style where the chartruese runs all the way through the body, not the new two-tone.

Short of that, plain 301 ain't bad, or 330 with copper flecks instead of purple.

I have the Shimano Crucial CRS-X63M and do use it for small tubes, however I only like to use extra-fast action rods on texas-rigged baits. For my exposed hook tube setups I use just a fast action rod like the Shimano Crucial CRS-70M.
