Steez 103HL getting rid of Hot Sauce and using something new

When I received my Steez 103HL I completely disassembled it, removed factory grease and oil with Napatha then used Quantum Hot Sauce grease and oil on everything in its place. Now i'm wanting to get rid of the Hot Sauce and go back to the red Daiwa oil for bearings and my own choice of grease. All I...

Replace the spool?? Are you serious? This Steez spool is fantastic.. Is there an aftermarket one I don't know about?

How low in weight have you Steez owners gone?

..I'm really itching to hit them topwater in a month or so.

Daiwa Steez 103HL, lightest weight to cast?

What's the lightest weight any of you are casting on your Daiwa Steez? I never usually go under a 1/4 oz but have some 1/8 oz Heddon Teeny Torpedos im wanting to throw this spring on this reel spooled with #12 Sunline Natural.

Hope it can handle it, guess well see.

How low have you gone?

Re: Sunline Super Natural good enough?

Thanks bronzefly, it's all starting to come back to me now. Glad to see an old face. I have a bad feeling in my wallet starting to brew. :D

Will the #12 hold true in strength?

How could you have the Zillion but not the Steez? I love my original JDM Steez but I want an old Pixy. TD Ito is deff the #1 in my book.
