Re: Questions about Legend XTreme Inshore, generally... specifically 7MF and 7MLF

Hey guys, thanks for the responses.... Let me give a short review of these sticks that I haven't seen mentioned anywhere, and would have been important to me had I not yet bought the rods. First and foremost, you're getting an outstanding fishing rod. Other than fully custom rods I've had made (and...

Re: Repainting a reel...

I've airbrushed a few and never again. The tolerances are tight on a lot of our newer reels and the masking takes a long time to do it right. Here's a blue Metanium I did for myself. I did the whole reel this color with black accents. I cheated and used an airbrush and good automotive 2 part clear ...

Re: Does a Antares DC MD XG feel geary brand new?

I have both the Antares DC HG and Antares DC MD, both are relatively new but neither feel geary. I also have the current version Exsence DC, used a little more yet it doesn’t feel geary either. Geary is not what I would expect from any of the high end DC reels.

Re: Ryoga 1016 SV

I have a 1016H SV, not sure if it's the same one you're inquiring about. Mine is the current black model. I've had it for a while now, took it in trade for another reel. I've actually only used mine a couple times, once with the original spool for a Carolina rig, and another with a ZPI M spool in bl...

Re: Biospawn

My buddy schooled me on the Vilecraw last fall, his bag limit would've been close to 30lbs while I would've weighed in ~10lbs. We're hitting that lake again tomorrow as I've heard the flipping bite is pretty good right now, I'm armed with Vilecraws up the ying yang for tomorrow! We'll see how they ...

Since you like the looks of the Steez TW and what you described as your intended use, check out the Steez A.

Re: Round reel love?

Thanks, and I was hoping to elect a repose on the Calcutta D. Yes, it's a 100 sized bought from Jun at Japan Tackle. It's a fine caster, comfortable, and a seemingly potent little reel with it's non-handle side being "50" sized. It thrives on my Loomis CBR 785 and has plenty of cranking power for r...

Re: Steez racing design guys

I have both the 610ML+ and 701MH and both are in the top 3 most sensitive rods in my book. The 610ML+ I've used for flylining Senkos and shakeyheads, perfect rod for those applications. Off topic from SRD, but another AGS rod to consider is the Heartland 741MHRB, unbelievable craftsmanship, sort of ...

Never thought about it, but after seeing Biggs' pic and post, maybe I can consider my MB Casino for deep cranking as well. Right now its my light duty swimbait rod.

Re: Metanium DC or Antares mgl for Nrx 873crr?

I have both reels and if I didn't have the 15% off coupon at the time of the purchase of the Antares MGL, I would've felt like it wasn't worth the price. I have my Antares MGL on an Edge Black Widow 733, and have thrown it on my Nautilus which I think it balanced better with. Of the two reels, I wou...

Re: Post purple

I got the SS SV105 in today. Its flawless. There is not a mark on it. I don't know why it was listed as "B" condition. The reel is perfect. The box has some subtle rash but that is it. Not bad for $146 to my door. https://i.postimg.cc/brfDkj6B/20190426-135938.jpg Wow, that looks really nice with th...
