I loved the lt rods but they're no steez! Especially for bottom contact.. The steez rods ive fished are, at least in my hands, equivalent to the imx and almost as sensitive as the glx rods they replaced.. And they're much more comfortable and better looking. Tt is prolly the only place I've ever he...

Hey Gone Phishin, damn fine pike!!! Look's like a reel line cutter. Lip hook? Thank ya! 8-) Luckily yes...just inside the ridge on the top of the mouth....8lb fluoro. I believe I was using the 7'1" Cumulus that day, and that stick is so darn sensitive I was able to get off a quick hookset.

Is that a Type R spool, I've one in mine and it's a Pop R casting machine.
When these pics were taken, I think it was the IZE spool in there.
St. Croix LEC68MXF and tuned Daiwa Sol: I had two Sol's when they first came out. I wish that I had kept them because there is so many more spool options today. My SV105 paint isn't as cool as the orange. That pearl orange color is being reintroduced on muscle cars, bicycles, and everywhere, making...

I want to pass out some credit for the Pixzilla concept. Christian Tanno (are you still out there?), Cal (of course), D.R. Fielding (haven't seen DR in years now) and myself. We birthed Pixzilla. Keep it orange! :big grin: D.R. Fielding was a superb guy to deal with.. D.R. tuned an OG Zillion for m...
I use plumbing thread tape (PTFE). It is extremely thin, stretches around the spool, and compresses under the line. It offers a little bit of grip but doesn’t have any adhesive to be left behind on your spool when you change it. Spools large enough for mono backing get line, but for super shallow s...

Signed on the Power Versatile. It looks pretty boss with one of these as well:
We had a great trip at El Salto. I would highly recommend Angler’s Inn. The first day we only caught 15 fish and I caught 14 of them. My 17 year old son was missing fish fishing, getting hung up, getting wind knots, and pretty much any other thing that could go wrong. He was getting really discoura...
