Re: Humminbird Quality

I can't speak about Lowrance quality now as I quit buying them about $8000.00 dollars ago. Why? Linda Colt, the best customer rep that I have dealt with in nearly fifty years of equipment purchases. What a true asset to a company and the fishing industry. Any company that let her go isn't getting an...

Re: Advice on selling used reels

I should be in pretty good shape. One is NIB. The other has 25(?) hours experience. DR ( for you old timers ) put
Boca ABEC 7's in both. Have the boxes, bags, papers and original bearings. Thanks again.

Advice on selling used reels

How have you successfully sold used reels? My situation is that I have two Shimano Calcutta TE 101GT's that I am not using. Life/circumstance has caused me to not need them now. I believe that TT rules are you need 100 post before you can list them on the site. I don't meet this qualification. My po...

GOOD YEAR 71

Watch the bobber--it's going under--set the hook--you got me. Just ordered two spools of Maxima Braid High-Visibility from Hi's.

I'll report back later.

Pause the video at 2:49 and check out the line.
Pause at 7:19-- Do you think the front hook might hit the line on the side to side movement?

Re: How do you spell B U M M E R ?

Don't trust ANYONE! My story. Last fall I'm at local lake doing my own tackle testing. Only person in parking lot. Tailgate down on truck. Four rods and four reels in bed. Rig one up, down to dock, start casting. Nice day! Van with out of state plates rolls in . Grandpa (GP), Grandma (GM) and grands...

Re: Braid and plastics...

I wonder if this applies here. For each fish that was turned off by the use of the braid, another one bit that you were able to detect because of it.
You broke even; just different fish.

Re: Braid and plastics...

Here is a tip if you are going to tie braid direct to the hook. First take some mono and tie your favorite knot to the hook. Now cut your line at the hook leaving only the knot. Slide the knot around the eye until it is where the eye meets the hook shank and leave it there. Now tie on you braid. The...

Re: US Reels spinning reels?

I have the US Reel Supercaster 225 ( first model made).
I am not impressed with the drag. It goes from slight to lock down with little adjustment. In the upper range, smooth it is not.
I used 20# Power Pro and it worked OK fishing weightless tubes.

I second the TT crew.
I also would like to add all the people that post on the forum.
Think about how much money you may have saved by not buying a poor product.
