Re: likelihood of tatula using 5x11x4 and 3x8x4 bearings?
I'm hoping they are Daiwa standard size, that is what I have waiting for mine also. My reel is on order from The tackle Trap. Can't wait!
Good grab on the pliers. I love my spool pin pliers, I've only had them for 6 months or so, wish I would have purchased those a long time ago.

ARCrank 50 Crooked Bill?
I have just purchased a AR Crank 50 lure. The finish on it is fantastic but the bill is cocked in the front of the lure. Its hard to see in the pictures. Should I send this back to Tacklewarehouse or do you think some tuning will fix it. I don't think it is supposed to be this way. I don't want to b...

Tatula on pre-order from The Tackle Trap. Not the "R", just the regular flavor.

Re: SOL cam clutch spring
The part of the spring that goes into the body hole should not be straight, 90 degree angle. I have found that the spring leg? (for lack of a better name) can be more of a 60 degree bend or so and its like it is wedged into the body hole if that makes sense. It seems a little strange but it works th...

+1 for the Kistler. I picked up a KLX at the classic expo. I handled quite a few and came back to the KLX. join the mailing list and get 15% off as a bonus.

Re: Spool Bearing oil
I have to agree tsi will not help the ceramic balls in bearings but it will protect the SS race and cage from corrosion.

Re: Spool Bearing oil
I see tsi-301 was mentioned above. I have started using tsi-321 on my orange seal bearings with a tiny amount of Daiwa red oil to quiet them down a little. I plan on going for a year and cleaning them up and reoiling when the snow flies. It has not been that long but it is an going to be an experime...

Re: Mind sharing the BB sizes for Daiwa Zillion Crazy Cranke
There should be some imporovement seen with the two spool bearings. The one in the side plate = SMR693C-2OS#7 and the one on the spool = SMR115C-2OS#7. These numbers are for the orange seal bearings. A 3X8 and a 5X11X4 On a side note: If you are going to work on many Daiwa reels, the BOCA pin pliers...

I also picked up a 6'3 M Cumara Reaction casting rod from TW on Sale. Looks like there will be a couple of them coming to Nebraska.

Re: High Speed Reel Question
I'm pretty comfortable with my fuego stock. Will the 5.7:1 gear ratio be a very noticible difference? Just curious.
I have been hearing the Lew’s Tournament Pro’s are nice reels. Maybe you could trade one of your high speeds in for a lower ratio for spinnerbaits and cranks.

Re: Replaceing Lews paddle knobs
I used the paddle handles today and they don't feel too bad. They don't look as nice as the pixy handle on my other sol but I might be able to live with it until I come across a Dawia handle.

The last couple I did were left cleaned and dry. I guess I better get busy and do them over.
Thanks for the input.
