Re: Metanium DC thoughts?

The DC whine is annoying as hell in the 2015 Mets. It doesn't sound cool like many other DC reels. I like the whine! When I use full ceramic bearings dry in any of my reels it whines during the cast. I have come to use it's sound to help with the casting. And when Shimano executives visited our sho...

Metanium DC thoughts?

Anyone excited for this reel? I'm in a semi-permanent holding pattern with my gear; but still follow everything on here daily.

Re: Top shelf spinning reel

Hey TT, Does anyone have any real world experience with a 2015 Daiwa Exist 2508PE and/or a Stella C2500HGS? I have the itch for a nice spinning reel, mainly for dropshotting but I don’t want to limit it to 80 yards of 4lb, hence the slightly larger sized models I’m inquiring about. I’m pretty sure ...

Thanks!

Re: Stella's smooth but tight after platinum service?

Please send me a PM with your name, address and email. I need to look up the repairs and I will email you a return shipping label to get the reels back to the tech. Thanks Dan. I just pulled the maintenance port plug and saw a pile of grease on the tightest one. I used some of my foam tipped swabs ...

Stella's smooth but tight after platinum service?

Hi Bantam and TT, I sent 3 brand new Stella FE's in for platinum service a few months back. They came back without a scratch, which was my biggest fear, and they are smooth but they feel stiff if that makes sense. If you spin the handle you maybe get 4 or 5 revolutions vs the 8-10 they used to have....

Re: Sustain vs Certate JDM (or other similar priced reels JDM)

Twinpower is better than Sustain; Certate and Twinpower I think will be mixed comments. Others will chime in I'm sure.

Re: Vanquish...worth the price?

I have the old Vanquish 12 and its still one of my favorite spinning reels... I would choose my Exsence over the Vanquish. Even without the titanium spool lip? I don't know that it affects casting or retrieving; but I feel the high ends reels should have titanium coated spool lips. Thought the Exse...
