Re: Stradic CI4+ on clearnce...new model coming?

Thanks for the replies. Guessing stock will be pushed back due to Covid; but I'll look at one before I buy another spinning reel.

Stradic CI4+ on clearnce...new model coming?

Local Cabelas has CI4's for $149.00. So far I don't like CI4 as frame material much; but if they come out with an even lighter Stradic with the long stroke spool etc; I'll want to handle one.

Any news I missed?

Re: Daiwa Alphas Air Stream Custom - BFS

I have put it the way Jun suggested with the N upwards, unfortunately can‘t test it now as in Italy everybody has to stay home and fishing is not a reason to leave your premises... :( (which probably is better considering the impact covid has). How is the situation in the US? You guys still allowed...

Re: JDM Stella '07 2000S help

I recently picked one of these up and it is super smooth but the handle doesn't spin as freely as my 2 2500FE, which will spin for days. Not a huge deal but wondering if Shimano will service this reel or if there is not enough crossover with the old FD iteration. If Shimano won't, is there anyone o...

Re: New Stradic long stroke spool?

That's awesome! I really like the taller spool of the Stella it's cool to see it on a "budget" spinning reel now.

Great job as always Shimano!

New Stradic long stroke spool?

Hey Bantam,
Can you confirm what "long stroke spool" means i.e. is it taller like a Stella has always been; or is it the same spool height as all other Shimano spinners except for the Stella?

If it is the taller spool this reel will be awesome.

Thanks.

Re: Daiwa Luvias vs. Certate

Exist is in clearance at tackle warehouse for 4ish if you haven’t already purchased a spinning reel, pretty good deal Yeah if you are good with a Zaion frame that deal would be where I'd look. If you can wait until Memorial Day it will go 15% off at least and put it around $340. It was the best Dai...

Re: 2019 Shimano Vanquish; 1000SSSPG or 2000SSS?

I have an older 2000 Vanquish and the spool is a little wider than the 1000. Should manage line a smidge better I think.

Re: Daiwa Luvias vs. Certate

I don't have a certate, but own a 2012 2506 Luvias and it's great. very light, buttery smooth, also the drag which has a nice sounding ' click'. have fished it a lot and tested the drag on nice fish and it's been flawless. main difference between certate and luvias is the frame material: if you ask...

Looks pretty good to me. Japan Tackle has it listed.

Sorry if old news; I hadn't seen this yet.
