Re: Long spinning rod help for swim baits

If you need more info on rods check out Henry Gilbeys page. He has plenty of reviews of JDM Seabass rods and some european rods on his website. His blog is also worth a read, but centered around his UK seabass fishing.

Re: Quality Lead/Tungsten BALL Jigheads

Spro makes some nice ones with Gamakatsu hooks for the european market. "Spro HD Heavy Duty 90 Jighead" should give you plenty results. But be sure to choose the heavy duty version, the regular ones are quite soft. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2380057.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.XSp...

Same thing from Japan to Germany only 4 days but on the other hands I ordered stuff from a tackleshop that is only a ONE hour drive away from my house and it took them 10 days until they finally delivered my package :x not to mention that they got me the wrong stuff

Re: high cost of tackle and the falling dollar?

Don't wanna offend anybody, but having lived in the US and Europe I must say I am very very glad to be back in Europe.

Every now and then I still buy tackle in the US and visit my friends in MA.

Re: Get ready Mahi-Mahi

One thing I am hearing all the time about catching Silures with lures is to cast a heavy spoon way up in the air so it makes a very loud splash when it hits the surface. People do this with 50 cast on the exact same spot to get the attention of those fish and according to their stories after a while...

Re: How Heavy Does a Swimb8 Rod Need to Be?

It seems that the reel I bought for SB8s (Calcutta DC250) is too light and.. Don't be silly Marc a 250 size Shimano is more than enough to throw any size swimbait. In Germany we use a lot of 200 and 250 size Shimanos for Pikefishing with heavy lures up to 10oz and they seriously handle it well even...

Re: Rod/reel for kayak fishing for east coast striper and bl

For a Baitcastingreel I would definitely consider a Shimano Curado 200 DHSV. The 7.0:1 gear ratio of the real is great for fast saltwater species and the reel is affordable.

is it just me or does that place look............clean. If I would compare the places I know in Europe and the USA I would have to say that europe is much much cleaner. People dont seem to litter nearly as much and most towns clean the roads and sidewalks regularly. I'll be in Calais too in about t...

Rapala is not from America. The company comes from Finland but nowadays most lures seem to be made in either Estonia or Ireland.
Check out the boxes of the x-raps you recently acquired.

Re: Graphiteleader- Vigor questions

I only have one Graphiteleader rod a Veloce 6'6'' MH (GLVC662MH), but I can tell you that it is a very well build, quality rod that is incradibly light.
No flaws on my rod at all.
