Re: Daiwa tatula sv / tatula costal sv spool?

Im on the hunt for a shallow spool for the coastal myself.

The New Coastal SV TWS 150 spool Has a Diameter: 33.8mm , Width 25.28mm, Shaft: 63.14mm

So bust out those calipers if you have a SV spool, could we get the model and measurements.

Do we have a Diawa Rep on here?

Is their a Diawa Rep on here to talk too? Have a question about my Certate 5000D. How much gear play if any do you expect or allow from the factory. My 3000 has zero gear play, You can feel slight gear play in the 5000. I hate to be so picky but these things aren't cheap.

Re: Baitcaster Braid Weight?

Any observations with SSV2 vs SS for baitcaster? I'm not seeing the difference on my spinners. Line dig, big fish, unfortunately not my problem, fish are rarely over 2# in my local lakes. Lighter line, tighter packing may be worth a try. My current practice is going to the local football field and r...

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?

At one time I was all about Shimano but Diawa impressed me years ago with the pluton. They are definitely the better bang for the buck at the moment so when i decided to upgrade gear all my freshwater spinners where replaced with various Diawa LTs. If i do the math the money i saved buying Diawa ove...

Baitcaster Braid Weight?

Benn using 20# SS braid on my Baitcaster. general purpose 6'6 medium heavy. I typically fish unweighted 5-6" Senkos and 3.75" flippin' hogs. occasional jerks, cranks.

Will i loose distance switching too 30# I'd like to cut back on the line dig which seems to be the cause of most of my back lashing.

Curado 100D Is it worth keeping

Its' been years since I've been on the forum. I've been upgrading gear this season. Are the new reels worth the upgrade .. I've been impressed with Diawa spinners are the Tatula casters worth the upgrade? I'm wondering if i should sell my CuradoD for the new stuff. Its in VeryGood-Excellent shape, I...

Re: Pluton Spool Bearing Sizes?

Cool tool but a bit pricey though. I read the other post about how to remove spool pin, making my own pliers seemed to much hassle (I don't have the tools to make it) so I ordered a tool I came across on Ebay. Considering I kind of liked maintaining and upgrading my reel yesterday I think it will be...

Re: Pluton Spool Bearing Sizes?

Sorry to here they didn't fit ... one big pain in the ass and makes no sense why they would use different bearing sizes for the same reel in two countries. @Spicytuna, I ordered the boca bearings based on nfnband's measurements for my Ryoga. I will let you know if they fit (Probably a week left unti...

Re: daiwa pluton help!

I can't say I've ever had that happen. You may have to take the whole plate apart i'd start with the scew on the inside. Schematics on the web site. I do notice is a gap between the cap and body its a hair line but wonder if its Wonderful design but they may need to thicken up the threads a little o...

Re: Pluton Spool Bearing Sizes?

How often do you oil the spool bearings. Depending on the oil weight and how often you use it you need to lube after every use. Was about to ask the same question, although I have a ryoga, I assume the bearing size would be the same. After about a year of frequent use it's producing a sound when cas...
