Re: Daiwa Tatula Issue?

All forrums in South East Asia confirm that the grooving is real, and it's not Lemon, it's standard problem for it. So it's seems Daiwa and their lovers should accept the fact after bad mouthing around that the complaining guy are BS. At least be a man and say appologize for that. For those whose gr...

Re: smoke baitcast reel for $99 at American legacy fishing

Mark, ACS on smoke are 3,6,and 9 shoes not 2,4, and 6. Believe me oiling will not have negative effect, it will only give longetivity to your brake. The control will still simple, it's not going to slipped out of control in any case and you will love it more. It you have problem you just clean the s...

Re: smoke baitcast reel for $99 at American legacy fishing

I dont understand the word slipped you mention. But if you ask whether it does help reduce friction or not, yes it reduce friction a lots. It will help prevent your brake shoes getting burn from friction as well as help maintaining the brass brake ring as well. This reduce friction help casting furt...

Re: smoke baitcast reel for $99 at American legacy fishing

Leave all that quantum hater comment in trash, go get it at $99. That even cheaper than their original cost to dealer. I own smoke since the first week they coming out, I post an old review on it here several years ago. Up to now it still my main reel for every trip leaving my Steez103 rest in box. ...

Re: New fad? Carbon tape

Apart from Durability, the carbon cross wrap can also increasing rod power. I had visit a very famous rod factory in China and we test a light jigging rod. we can see that with everything being equal, in weight lift testing, carbon wrap blank giving more stiffness and power lift. The blank that we t...

Re: GLX or Legend Elite/Extreme

New Xtreme Blank with TET (not Elite blank) already surpass GLX in term of sensitivity, so for me there are no more left for GLX to complete with Xtreme in every corner.

Re: New St Croix Xtreme Rods

I have chance to fish mine 2 times this week, and catch already 3 fishs on it which the biggest one is over 15 lbs cat fish. Overall this rod is much better than previous Xtreme and blow away the Elite. I am not sure whether it because of TET or new handle, but the vibration are now can transfer up ...

Re: Daiwa T3 after a year

It color coating, peel of from the first trip in freshwater, and Daiwa refuse to exchange it for me. Second trip it peel out again on the reel foot. It's still the roughest reel out of the box I ever purchase for over $150, even though I make a good lubrication throughout. It's feel cheap as plastic...

Re: t3 ballistic, chronarch or exo?

Chronarch is Curado with a new color, and curado can't even match with Smoke, so there is no way I am going to buy it. T3 is seems to be very good reel, but until they solved their smoothness problem, it's not their time yet. I will go with the EXO.

Re: New St. Croix warranty??

Please be fair to the company as well, any companies I mean, cost of producing are now higher and higher. Trust me more than 90% of customers will never accept the truth that they are "wrongly" use the product, eventhough they did. $75 increasing from previously $50, what the matter? I found that no...

Re: Quantum Smoke Drag Issue

Regarding this issue it might be ")(" or "Grease". But )( should noticeable immediately. If you said it happen after a few trips, it might be grease. Sometime grease take several weeks to be flushing down from handle shaft or gear to the drag washer. Anyway, you will loose lots of drag pressure, but...

Re: Smoke 100

Smoke is a great reel for the money for sure, I prefer it over my other BC. I still even prefer it over EXO (not try it myself yet) because it flexibility for external brake changing. But for sure both of the side plate is aluminum. If you means about the ACS control on the side plate, yes they have...
