Re: Evergreen Temujin Amazon Flip "Balista"

What reels does the T3 gang recommend for the Evergreen Temujin Amazon Flip "Balista"? Would Antares DC or Conquest DC be viable choices? What size Conquest DC? depending on what baits you will be using with this rod an Antares DC would be a good choice. ideally i would recommend the Conquest/Conqu...

Re: megabass future i hope not

Yup, those are it. They decided to use those reel seats for price reasons. yeah, i noticed that too. Megabass is still making great rods but i honestly feel that the golden days are behind them now. they are growing and it looks like they are going to make adjustments like that to their line ups. k...

Re: Swimbait reel

Zillion HLC will may be a good choice!? :D i like the HLC alot. in fact i am going to get one as soon as they start to ship but i don't think it will make a good swimbait reel either. i think it is better to just get used to the extra weight of a proper swimbait reel rather than sacrifice performan...

Re: Swimbait reel

Daiwa Big Bait special.... i wouldnt recommend this either. for one it is too expensive. it's been around for awhile now (years) and it isn't very popular in the swimbait scene. even in the Japanese blogs i dont see it being used very often. in the Japanese blogs the Conquest's are what you always ...

Re: Swimbait reel

If you want to try a low-profile the only one beefy enough I can think of is the Abu Revo with that 20+lb drag. dont forget the Curado 300DSV. also, guys, dont forget that it's not just all about the drag. is the drag what is motivating you guys to recommend the Revo for swimbaits? what about the i...

There aren't many NJ bass, in my experience that is, that are as big and beautiful as a pride of Georgia watermelon. I guess the bass didn't engulf the bait as well as I thought because when she turned and headed toward Delaware, my line went limp and she was gone. Needless to say, my heart was in ...
