Re: Atten. Luna Owners
Choupique,
I got 5.5mm by ruler on my 103.
You may want to wait for confirmation from other owners though.

Re: Quantum's ads...
Yes circumference does matter. The gear ratio are approximately the SAME(7:1-7.1:1) for all of these reels so its the circumference that determines how much line is retrieved per turn of the handle. For one turn of the handle, the spool revolves 7 times. The aprroximate amount of line taken up per h...

Re: Quantum's ads...
The Quantum burners are the fastest. The energy burner has a spool diameter of ~37mm which is the largest of the 7.x reels which should mean it is also the fastest. When spooled up to the beveled edge of the spool, I measured 31inches per turn. By comparison the Zillion has a ~36mm spool, Revo ~35m...

Abu Fantasista rods
Browsing the net and came across these. I take it they are for the Japanese market but anyone know much about them or where to order them? Why do the Japanese have all the cool tackle? :crying: http://www.purefishing.jp/product/abugarcia-cast.html http://www.purefishing.jp/product/abugarcia/cast/yab...

Re: trout season approachs
The trout(mostly stocked rainbows) in my neck of the woods really like thomas buoyant spoons and black or olive woolyboogers. I have had 50+ fish days on the woolyboogers. http://media.basspro.com/images/articles/wetflyswing2.jpg http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/content/Item/12/08/31/i120831sq01.jpg

Re: First fish of the year
Yep it is. Tonym, you know your reels...Its the 2004 finesse model. I chose it over the standard 2000 because it has a ball bearing supported drag to better protect the light line.

Re: Shimano Baitcaster Question
Regarding the brake weights. In order from heaviest to lightest. Green, pink, clear.
The curado has the standard stainless bearings while the chronarch has a-rb's. They both handle light baits very well.
