Re: spinning rod suggestions?

Rodshop.pl has Daiwa casting reel seats. Also, there are many high end blanks you can choose from: Point Blank, Phenix K2, NFC X-ray. What are you using the rod for? What line type and size? Are you located in the States? Have you ordered from them before? Does the Daiwa reel seat come with a hood ...

Re: TVSTK Reel Seat

If you hold the reel/reel seat, it's very comfortable, probably the most comfortable reel seat I've tried for that hand position. It was designed to be up-locking btw.

Unfortunately, I hold the grip above the reel seat so VSS is my choice for a spinning reel seat.

Re: Guide Reccomendation

1. What sizes would you recommend for the stripper, bumper and runner guides? I prefer a slower transition like Mattman as well. I'll go with something like 7, 6, 5, 5... My first 2 guides are usually double footed and the rest are single footed. Stripper (-5 to 0 degrees), then 3 or 4 transition gu...

Re: Power ratings on new NFC X-Ray blanks?

It's a guessing game with NFC until we get some solid measurements, as MDF just did above. And even with that, their blanks have more variations between same models than any I've come across. How much of a variation have you been finding? I've only built one x-ray (MB733) so I don't have others to ...

Check out Rodgeeks for SCV. St. Croix is still producing some of the more popular models and selling them through Rodgeeks.

Re: North Fork Composites

My last order took about 2.5 months. I was fully expecting it to take three months. In a way, it came earlier than expected..

I haven't ordered in a past month.

Re: Tennessee grip question

3M Super 33+ leaves no residue, and available at most hardware stores.

I would just tighten the slip rings after every 10 or so casts. You can also wrap a layer or two of tape on the cork itself for more pressure for the slip rings.

Re: Fuji PULS Palm Support Reel Seat

The extra size and weight of the insert is an issue for some. I love the PULS seat, but it does need to come in more sizes that prevent having to use the insert. You would think that Fuji would make more sizes because the seats are very cheap and easy to make. As far as the PB701MHF, the tip is muc...

Re: Fuji PULS Palm Support Reel Seat

I believe they are similar, but those td-s seats look like they sit the reel lower on the blank. I tried the PULS with the recommendation from toddmc, but I'm not sure how I feel about them just yet. I think part of it has to do with the blank I put it on, a Point Blank PB701MHF. The blank fishes a ...

Re: Bubble fishing for trout

7' fixed leader under a 1/8 oz indicator is not the easiest to cast with a 7' rod but until i find a better method.... I tried a slip bobber but when retrieving the fly it pulls it up out of the zone. What indicator are you using that weighs 1/8oz? Just wondering because I may want to try them out....

How thin is Super Lube when compared to Daiwa Space Age grease?

Asking because it's marketed as a heavy duty grease.
