The brasso we have, the formulation has changed and it didn't even touch brass oxidising at all...

The old brasso was a totally different animal.
Just a thought, do you think tarn-off might work. The stuff used for cleaning jewelry.

Re: Drag?

Its possible to have smooth drags on baitcasters . Not so common now but when 1 and 2 kg line class was all the rage for those chasing IGFA or ANSA records many people used leather with graphite powder rubbed into them along with lapped metal washers. This produced very smooth drags for those very li...

Re: Steez A gears?

Anybody got an inside on where to get replacements? need either a 6:3 LH or 7:1 LH. Plat won't ship these specific gear sets aborad because daiwa won't let them ship magsealed parts for some reason. I ordered a set from Daiwa US (was only 50$...surprisingly cheap) but it won't even ship from there ...

You talking these kind of "trucks"... IMG_20200821_052946.jpg IMG_20200821_053047.jpg Caught these two Mall Crawling here in Aus. Seriously overdone in all aspects, not useful for us other than d*ck wagging rights. Yep lots of American trucks getting around up north as well. Dodge Rams being the mo...

Re: tsi 321

Wish we could get the stuff here in Australia... Like easily from a retailer and not have to import it at an abhorrent price with even more an abhorrent postage fee! Andrew we now have an Australian supplier of TSI-321, I contacted ED at Australasian Fishing Tackle a couple months ago to see if he ...

Re: Gear grease opinions

I use Cals on the gears as well and it works fine, it is a gear and drag grease. Use the purple cals if in cooler climates.

Re: Better than the average travel rod?

Bone Voyage are awesome rods. I currently have 8 of them from the BFS to XXH models and have no complaints. They do fish like one piece rods and don't have flat spots under load. In fact they are all I use and I no longer own any one or two piece rods. Bone Fishing World does have ties with ATC and...

Re: The banana in the tali pipe

I have had two vehicles where the honeycomb material in the catalytic converter had dislodged and nearly blocked the exhaust. it was a very noticeable drop in performance . And those things aren't cheap.

If I did it would go to more camping gear and accessories for my 4wd. But that's not going to happen.

Re: Daiwa zillion

I want blow out prices on these and I want them now. I need a higher capacity reel for 1 oz baits, flutter spoons and the like for my Hyuga 72H. Already spooling a TD Zilion HLC and 1016 spools with the rod of 50# and 6# braid with just under an ounce. Need that capacity but I'm not spending $400 f...

Re: Your opinion on the Daiwa's Zero Adjuster

it doesn't bother me as with daiwa reels I have always just set it to eliminate side play and use the magnets to do the job they are designed to do. only ever adjust it to when changing a spool and that's it. On the water I just adjust the mag dial and even then I don't touch that much. normally on ...

Re: reels in australia

Does australia get the same model reels as the US. What are the main species targeted there, is it all saltwater or do they have lakes there? Is there largemouth bass? Smallmouth? Brown trout? large and small mouth bass no. There is an Australian Bass. brown and rainbow trout yes in the southern hi...

Re: Daiwa guys?

Great reel as a base for modifying, plenty of steez parts fit, easy brass gear option in the TD Zillion gear sets drop straight in as well as the Steez 100SH gears, which give the ability for multi disc drag, The over braking can be fixed by changing out the inductor on the spool with a rays inducto...
