Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I don’t courage anybody Morethan owner to open their new reel. Usually neither do I to open my new (and expensive) reel. But I know that some people want’s to open their new reel and to see inside the reel. I’m just hoping that somebody who usually open their reels has decided to buy Morethan. I en...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

I have seen pictures . The morethan 7.1 is alloy gears the same as Steez A. The 8.6 model is a brass gear.

Re: New Daiwa spinning reel - no manual in box or online

Daiwa does not have lubrication ports on there reels and Shimano have now removed them. should only put grease inside a spin reel anyway and the opening on shimano reels was in the wrong spot onto the back of the gear.

Dalleinf wrote:Hmmm. Would be nice if spacers are used AND they fit other Daiwas for further spool options.

Well the millionaire is a 34mm spool so the spacers should fit all current steez reels, tdz, t3 etc

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

Came sooner than expected. Just so happens I had a rod waiting. This should work. Will report back when it's no longer as shiny. I didn't need to see this. Amazing looking paring. :evil22: If you dare to disassemble could you let's us know it it has brass or aluminum gears? Been wondering the same ...

Re: Daiwa SV Light

Not to knock your creation, but why do so many insist upon Steezing up their SS's? I think they look great stock, especially the Light. I say well done, Namiki-san! Domo Arigato! https://i.postimg.cc/pdRc2SLj/20181201-131743.jpg There is also the comfort factor. The steez nose piece does feel more ...

Re: Steez A and Megabass IS Bearing Size

Spend the extra $ and buy premium ones ...like hedgehog. \:D/ =D> Hello, Friend! Thanx for advice, but i completely satisfied stock ball bearings of my reels. I just mentioned aliexpress as website where i saw dimensions. Yep the stock bearings are very good once flushed out . they tend to be over ...

Re: hedghog ZR

I believe shimano bearings to be the better of the oem bearings and since I have found TSI-321 I haven't found the need to upgrade bearings. I run Daiwa reels and run the factory bearings that have been flushed with acetone then treated with TSI-321

Re: Do I need a BFS reel?

that's a silly question as this is Tackle Tour and the answer will be yes. if you ask if you need something on here the answer always be yes and if its a choice between 2 the answer is buy both.

Re: If I need new BFS reel?

From other forums and groups that I am involved in is Magnetic braking works better for BFS with some suggesting linear magnetic braking such as abu use is better or fixed inductors on daiwa reels. As the mag Z/V and SV still rely on centrifugal force to push the inductor into the magnetic field , b...

Re: Daiwa Z2020 I need to go shallower,

The RCS 2014 spool is the only shallow spool option available for the Z200/Z2020 Ryoga 2020 and Pluton reels. But I found it didn't really offer any better performance than the standard Z2020 spool. All reels mentioned above the spools are interchangeable with the spool in the Z2020 being the best i...

Re: High quality oil, lube, etc

you really cannot go past CALS grease , it is perfect for drags and brass gears, for alloy gears I use a ceramic grease and for oil I use TSI-321.

Re: What's REALLY next for Daiwa

I would like to see a bfs version of the Steez A with 32mm spool like the SV Light. There currently isn't anything in their BFS range with t wing. Then maybe a Steez A HD with brass gears and back up antireverse pawl. And if they added a back up antireverse pawl and hyper digigears to the new 2018 Z...

Re: 2019 Daiwa Morethan PE 1000 TW

getting back to the Morethan I am thinking at only 5 grams difference between it and a Steez A it will have the same G1 Alloy gears which is no problem as the Steez A is proving to be standing up to the tough fish. the weight difference is most likely for the 100mm handle. I am going to say its just...
